What I'd like to know is how you make wedding arrangements, like any tips or styles? There's something magical about your arrangements but I can't really tell what it is!
That's so nice of you - I'm really touched by this comment. I can't guarantee that "something magical" - that's a result I can only ever HOPE for - all I can do .. is do the work.. and put real love and care and time into it - creativity is of course about imagination and fantasy and empathy and emotions.. but it's also sometimes just really hard work .. I have to stay in the room.. and make all the decisions.. which is not always easy 😊 My arrangements are always based on improvisations.. I record myself playing the song a few times.. but then I want to work on it so it feels like something I composed or arranged.. I guess my tip is to really figure out what the Left Hand is doing - that's honestly MOST of my work - figuring out a good part for the left hand. My other tip is to only do a song that you're a bit in love with yourself - because I think people can feel if the connection to the music is genuine - don't do it because it's popular or you think you'll get more clicks - do it because YOU CLICK with the song .. and that other stuff will hopefully follow - so.. if Love + Work = Magic .. well that's an equation I'm pretty happy to spend my days with 😁 .. Your channel looks great by the way! Just keep going and you'll keep growing. Wish you a fantastic 2020. Long answer.. but it was a hard question 🤗
@@PaulHankinsonMusic Oh crap so sorry I forgot to reply to this! Thanks for the tips! I suck at improvising but what you say sounds useful, even if I were to arrange it purely in a notation software. And yeah I get how hard it can be to explain the process... Another challenge here is to smoothly insert Canon btw, I'm also impressed at how you do it.
