I was at Woodstock and it was a soulful experience. This performance was a religious experience. He said in an interview that since he had never learned to play an instrument, his body became an instrument when he sang. He was unique. There will never be anyone like him.

It wasn’t a single concert it was a 3 month tour. Joe was already exhausted from extensive touring and wanted to go home to Sheffield. He even disbanded the Grease Band to avoid further shows but was threatened that he would never be allowed to tour America again if he didn’t comply. He was then exploited by several individuals including Leon Russell, a session musician with less than half Cocker’s talent. Joe went home a broken man when the tour ended and when he made a comeback in 1872 his voice was not the same due to overwork on the tour.

Wow! Look at all of those strs along with Joe, Leon Russell in the top hat, and a few others as wll in the Band. This was written and recorded by The Beatles. Joe asked them if he could record it, and they said sure, it's fine. It surpassed the original version, and Ringo (the original singer) said "I guess it's Joe's song now." They were all good friends.

No Russell exploited Cocker. He wasn’t fit to lace Joe’s boots. Please research the background as to how the Mad 🎉dogs tour came about and the consequences it had on Cocker’s health. As Rita Coolidge said, Joe had no ego but was surrounded by people like Russell who had massive egos and used Joe’s talent for their own interests. I despise Leon Russell.
