We made the beat on some cheesy beat machine. I remember wishing we had an 808. The deep bass was actually from a keyboard at the recording studio where the final cut was made. The sample is the song on a 12 inch mixed in over the beat machine. Ron Kramer did the scratching at the end.

Props goes out to the DJ's at KDAY whose broadcast we used to pick up way down in Fresno at night. We used to try to record them every saturday night. Ron and I picked up a ton of our scratches from imitating those guys. The first time we heard them cutting up Hashims it's time and back spinning cybotron's R-9 we knew we had some work to do. It takes a bit of practice to get the "it's it's it's it's" timed right. Ron put more work into DJing than most people put into a job...
