- Big Sexy Beast and a Van Life adventurer. I recently spent a week in Arkansas duck hunting and while I had a great time, I also had a wheel explode on me. Luckily, I was able to fix the wheel and then headed back out on the road. This is the story of my journey, with a little bit of duck hunting thrown in.

Glad that tire didn’t fall off on you. I have heard nightmares about the Mercedes vans. As much as I dream about the van life I would be going with a ford. Not that they are without issues but more dealers to fix em if needed. Parts more readily available too. Glad you are ok.
Ended up being that they were over torqued when they were put on. Four bolts had broken… but it would still hold air at about 40 PSI. Team at Agile Off-road fixed me up once I got to California. Guess I need to get a taller jack… as that one barely worked!
@@BigSexyBeastAdventures You know I should probably check my jack from the factory I’ve never even taken it out of the back of the FJ. I have roadside assistance but there are places where they don’t go and I should probably make sure I’m good with what I have. That’s crazy that they were over torqued.
