- A morning drive from Central Tokyo to Mt. Fuji.
The drive starts at Rainbow Bridge on the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway and heads to Fujiyoshida and Narusawa Village on the north side of Mt. Fuji, Japan's highest mountain.
It snowed the previous day, and the scenery gradually became snowy as we approached Fujiyoshida.

The roads are very nice I'm impressed by the transition between elevated roadway, the surface was very smooth and you picked a great time.

I went to Kawaguchiko last month I’m from Brazil… I cried when I saw it 🗻. It’s magical, one of the most beautiful sights i’ve ever seen. Worth of my 29 hour flight. 🎉
No traffic at all. It’s amazing that you can drive from Tokyo to mt fuji in 2 hours or you can drive from Los Angeles to Los Angeles in the same amount of time
Don't try it from Kawaguchiko to Tokyo on Sunday evening. It's going to be a traffic nightmare. 🤣
I'm pretty sure you could get out of Los Angeles in two hours early in the morning
Take a look at the other lane going into the city. You might change your mind about the traffic in Tokyo.
Thank Tokyo's robust regional rail network for that. Los Angeles needs a rail network exactly like Tokyo's
It's amazing how snowy Japan gets. It's not that far north but gets more snow than any other country.

Very cool. Mt Fuji is one of the most beautiful looking mountains in the world. Little wonder the japanese people revere it.I never been to Japan but my dad was in Japan in the canadian army for training for the korean war but I don't know if he visted Mt. Fuji. My mom's uncle is buried I think in Yokohama he died as a POW during WW2.

How is it that in a city of 30+ million people it looks like there's no traffic? That's amazing!
Lots of factors.
1) Best transport system in the world. Mostly people transit by public transport. Metro, trains, busses, trams, etc.
2) Video recorded in early morning.
3) In Tokyo I believe he was on a paid highway road
1. Its probably early in the morning.
2. They have one of the best metro/train system which helps lessen the usage of cars.
3. He is driving on expressway which is not free.
4. Actually population of tokyo itself is just around 10 mil.

The Chuo Expressway is a mountain road, so in the morning there is a lot of fog from the river that runs parallel to the road. This winter is warm and there is really little snow.

Thats how the road should be if you think this is an enjoyable driving experience which i would think because most of the other places cant offer this because they would be bumper to bumper which is why i dont bother where i am for instance because of too much traffic
Did you get a chance to record some road footage when it snowed last month in the Tokyo Metro?
I stayed home on that day and was just taking in the view of snowfalling.
No pot holes.

@@seabreeze7378 Just watch videos of experiences of people living in Japan and other sides of Japan. Japan is not as beautiful as imagined like in anime or travel vlog videos.
I'm sorry to say this, but aside of the cleanliness and tidiness, it's undeniable that the majority of the japanese urban sprawl is a soulless husk and this has been aknowledged even in manga and anime. Spotless to a fault, it has an almost mechanical veneer that I find dehumanizing. It seems japanese architects and urban planners, especially in the 80s and 90s had a mad love for the straight ruler. God forbid they use curves or add a touch of green if concrete piles can be placed instead.
Except for gorgeous Tokyo skycrapers, this Mt. Fuji video was disappointing. The peak was trashed by city electric towers and lamp posts, industrial buildings and a town that's just there to reap profits from Mt. Fuji, which looked rather small and not as imposing as Los Andes 6000+mtrs. monster peaks. Chimborazo volcano dwarfs twice Mt. Fuji.
