I have worked with Google Earth and overlays for a long time in my metal detecting research, and also as my job as a utility staker, but I have to say that, though I have used "pins" to mark components of importance, it NEVER occured to me to use them to identify Township and Range corners! As you said at the 10:55 mark the railroads are REALLY good for getting your maps on point! Rivers and creeks, not so much in my opinion, as they have changed course quite a bit, sometimes at a great distance! Thanks for your expertise in this regard!
Hi..i see you have good experience in detecting metals with programs mr lonnie..have you programs to detect metals spicial gold and caves and old rooms underground in all countries in the world not just usa..im intersting to detect in middle east and spicial in my country ( jordan) 🌹
Great tutorial. Shortcut key, letter r changes tell overall map perspective from skewed to directly overhead. Also, the 1991 in the lower left allows you to see many different seasons of aerials for the area you are researching as well. You also have the ability to drag your sites in the left pane and arrange in alphabetical order if desired.
