Seahawks segment not even mentioning the defense that ranks 2nd in EPA/play allowed right now is very encouraging lol, hopefully the playoffs are a thing this year

At least Geno was talked about how he should be, a top tier QB. Geno is silky smooth, has insane release, insane precision, always throws tight spirals and is sneaky athletic.
That being said as much as I love Geno, the story this year has been a defense that is ranked in 2nd in yards given up, number one in passing yards per play on defense, and has major potential to be a top 5 run defense as well. This defense will give even elite offenses a challenge. I know they played bad QB's I agree, but they are dominating on that side of the ball and nothing is coming easy for opposing offenses.

Nice to hear people that know football giving Geno some love. Tired of the haters. He's a good quarterback and he playing for cheap. The Hawks are lucky to have him. Should have resigned him earlier this year.

It's very easy to miss, but one college thing Grubb loves is to get the offense lined up extremely fast, with 25 even 30 seconds on the play clock. Then Geno has all day to do the shifts and checks and motion
It wreaks havoc with defensive play-calling and substitutions
If you only watch the condensed version, you wouldn't notice it at all, but it definitely annoys the heck out of the defense

The more Football I watch and learn the more I appreciate and Love the Steelers way of playing. I know it’s uninteresting for most people but if you appreciate and know about run fits, and defense what Pittsburgh does is an absolute thing of beauty defensively. It leads to low scoring frequently no fantasy points and most people cannot stand it and find it very annoying but watching Corner’s fill gaps to allow pass rushers the ability to knife in and seeing the Corners actually make the tackles on the RB’s is just art for me. And Najee Harris runs with such aggression and that Zach Frazier can BALL. No QB who cares this is the NFL.

Sleep on the Steelers at your own risk. Fields will get better. The injured offensive line played GREAT with Frazier at Center. The Steeler's defense is the best in the NFL.

@thejanitor113 You OBVIOUSLY didn't watch the 2nd half of the Charger game. That offense was GASHING the Bolts from midway through the 3rd. Harris and Patterson were getting 6-7 yards a carry, and the Fields-Austin connection looks downright DANGEROUS. (Sorry Russ!) The Chargers are a quality team, and the Steelers KILLED them. Fields is only going to improve. Like I said, you clowns can laugh at the Steelers all the way up to another Tomlin playoff run. That team could f*ck around and win the whole thing.

@sirtheodorefranciswindsor The Steelers being The NFL'S best defense is laughable? Really? That Defense is playing TERRIFYING football right now. TJ Watt is the best defensive player in the NFL, Heyward is BACK, and that Fitzpatrick-Porter secondary is terrorizing receivers. Myles Garrett can't carry Watt's jockstrap. Lamar WILL CHOKE, LIKE HE ALWAYS DOES. The Bengals are about to have a 6-11 Meltdown. The Chiefs need EVERY CALL to be competitive in this early season. The Dionte Johnson for Devonte Jackson trade is looking ALL STEELERS. The Steelers Offensive Line is bashed with injuries, but that unit had their best game since Roethlisberger retired against a Charger team that should make the playoffs. Laugh off Pittsburgh at your own peril.

@@stevekenna silly boy, referencing 1 game during the 2nd half of “this one game”… c’mon. I’m a Vikings fan (your head coach Approved!) be honest though. They play the bills or Vikings or lions…. 🤨 we shall see. It’s week 3. You beat the falcons, broncos and chargers.

@Nate_Tice what’s with downplaying Jayden Daniels’ success after ripping on how bad Kliff is (pass game wise), how bad his OL and pass catchers are all offseason. Jayden is top 3 in EPA per dropback and CPOE in the league. Compare this to downplaying how much Caleb has struggled (bottom 3 EPA per dropback of starters) because of his supporting cast and OC. Which one is it Nate?
Is Jayden just thriving because of Kliff and guys like Andrew Wylie and Nick Allegretti or if it’s not all about OC and OL then maybe Jayden is actually just playing really well and Caleb is really struggling. It’s okay to admit Caleb has played poorly during his rookie season to this point - see Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck

I'm probably a bigger KK hater than Nate is. Last night's game was Nothing Like what he normally called. But I'm still reserving judgment until I see him do this _consistently._ & not against a team the Patriots can beat because of their very weak D.

just curious if Nate Tice still thinks the Bears OL is better than the Packers lol.. biggest off-season joke was people like Tice WAY overgrading the Bears OL..

By paper or performance criteria? Wright (the RT) played WAY better last year & after week 2 said "we were trying to execute the plays called to the best of our ability." That right there is like the 9th Overt Sign Eberflus has given that he's a tyrannical My Way or The Highway kind of HC.
I can't figure out why every NFL fan & analyst acts like he's their Dad. Bears' fans: "Fields sucked & it had Nothing Whatever to do with play-calling."
But also "We're glad Getsy's gone 'cause he sucked." At what if not play-calling? So right there you have three separate attempts in two thoughts to shift all blame away from the HC by saying it's the QB, it's not the play-calling _AND_ that it is the play-calling only it's Getsy's.
Getsy's not even on the team nor is Fields. So now, even though the o-line play was terrible during the entirety of Eberflus' tenure & is actually better now than it was last year, somehow the fan base is blaming Waldron who wasn't there _last_ year.
      Sheesh!
