Amen! Rev. Piper was speaking to pastors, but we should all speak the whole council of God in our daily lives.

It is deeply saddening to witness the rejection of Gods word in our society. Not by all but by our political leaders. All we can do, as the Pastors said is Pray for the salvation of those who are making policy and leading on a political level.
FORGIVE THEM FATHER , THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO !!

So what I'm hearing here is you're perfectly okay with boys/men having zero consequences for their sexual actions but God forbid the same freedom is given to girls/women? It takes 2 do why should one side always bear the consequences? Is that God's plan?

Doesn’t God hold us accountable to participate in our political system through voting according to the mandates and truths of scripture? How could He not???
I’ve heard it said (although I don’t know this for a fact because I’m a corporate airplane pilot and not a political scientist) that if all the born again in Christ, Bible believing Christians were to vote, we’d be the most powerful voting block in America! Therefore, since God has given us the ability to directly impact the direction of our government through our vote in our political system, we must do so! How could it NOT be a sin to for go the opportunity we have to influence our government in a Godly direction???
Could Mr. Piper or Mr. MacArthur PLEASE RESPOND?

The problem is, in the contexts where this topic has been relevant lately, many are upset with the "directions" that are the options and would definitely not describe them as godly.

I honestly don't see how any true believer can vote for the party that supports abortion and gay marriage and transgenderism and is aligned with the progressives that want to defend the police and treats the police with such contempt and not to mention the progressive DA's treating the innocent like criminals and the criminals like the innocent. By voting for Democrat even though maybe the person doesnt support those things, they are still responsible for putting into power the wicked who do support it and are helping them put those sinful laws into effect. I don't like Trump but he is on the side that supports righteousness better than the Democrats.

Perhaps John Piper should consider that he and churches like his are very short of this edge he accuses others of going over.
The difference is, the kind of man and church that he criticizes has no problem that men like Piper are soft; not everyone can be a lion.
