Well said. Materialism is a metaphysical theory. But given that it doesn't explain consciousness, which is the most important aspect of reality, it doesn't even make it to the level of common sense. It falls over before it even gets to the starting line in competition with other metaphysical theories.
Perhaps pointing us to a central question, if not the central question, of spiritual science as far as I understand it, viz, how far does our cocreatorship extend? Which, it would seem to me, from the Steinarian point of view, is equivalent to the question as to how far our freedom can extend.
By the way I am looking foreward to when the phenomenon of NDE is breaking the ground in ontology. Could we soon take these experiences into account. There are a wast material and offen profound clues to a much more comprehensive picture of the most important questions of existence- There is no reason NOT to study this if you are dealing with philosophy.
