Japanese made it 1000000 × better in animation. The dialogues and the feel of that animated movie are so good.. so overwhelming ❤ they kept all the facts and purity intact in the animated movie.

even they had taken some creative liberty but they never disrespected the epic...it was so well made
This was a huge opportunity....western media was slowly getting more interested in Indian cinema and film making and it was the perfect time for a proper representation of our culture in the western media....but all of it has gone futile.
I genuinely want someone to make our epics into good webseries format so ppl across linguistic borders could see how severely underrated our culture is...but I think it will take a long while before that happens sadly 😔
But why should we even look for western acceptance? Aren't we good enough to judge and enjoy our films?

The characters "Ram" and "Lakshman" had great bond as brothers. The plot of the villian was good. The female lead looked beautiful in saree and had good chemistry with "Ram". Overall, "Main hoon na" was a nice movie to watch 🙂

I really wish S.S. Rajamouli should take his chance, I know he is the only director who can bring justice to our expectations.
The two lead characters "Ram" and "Laxman" shared good chemistry and bond as brothers. The female lead looks pretty in a saree and had great chemistry with "Ram". Villain's look in the second half was odd. Overall "Main Hoon Na" was a full on paisa vasool movie.

I've grown up watching shows on Ramayana on DD National. There was this show called Sankat Mochan Hanuman. I think the story has been portrayed in a must better manner in that show with limited resources.

I think unnecessary over reaction. People will settle down and enjoy this film in a couple of weeks. Modiji has endorsed it and much soch key kiya hoga. Yes dialogues are a bit original but it is 2023 . Some up gradation for New India and Modiji is correct . Never in the last 7000 years has anyone made a film like this.
I think they heavily underestimated the significance of Ram and Ramayan in our lives. For most of us, especially people who grew up in small cities, along with religious sentiments, Ramayan induces nostalgia… The ‘good old days’ of watching Ramayan on a Sunday with our grandparents & family.. almost everyone crying after an emotional scene.. a long discussion at the end of an episode…

After watching this my respect for Disney+ Hotstars the legend of Hanuman has grown Significantly. Affcourse there are animation quality issue but in terms of asthetics and presentation it's great and conversation between characters are so interesting to listen to.

Just going to watch the OG Ramayan Series with my family this week. Need some Positive Vibes. And the intro songs of the original Ramayan series still feels so soothing. Even in Lockdown I never skipped that intro and that was among the best choices I made that time.
(Tbh socha tha VFX aur CGI ko ignore bhi kr dunga toh kitna hi bura hoga, but itna bura hoga kabhi socha bhi nahi tha)

Ashish sharma was impeccable as lord ram ❤❤ his eyes , his body language, his expressions, his dialogue delivery, his sophisticationess was perfect for ram. Even karan suchak who. IMO, these are the best sources and adaptations of Ramayan:
1. Original story from Ramcharitmanas/Ramayan.
2. Ramayan classic TV serial by Ramanand Sagar.
3. Japanese Anime movie Ramayan - The Legend of Prince Ram by Yugo Sako.
4. Ramayan in comics form by Amar Chitra Katha.
I really appreciate one thing that Shubham was continuously mentioning Ramayan as History and not Mythology (as most people does)... Being a Hindu we should all believe and call Ramayan and Mahabharat as our history and not Mythology...

Even tho im a Muslim, ive always been curios and fond of hindu mythology. Ive been grown up watching epic legends like ramayana and mahabhararta. It breaks my heart to see Such legends being insulted this way, and for what? A moment of fame? Monetary benefit? Shame on om raut for making this sad excuse for a traditional bollywood movie.
Also i belive prabhas shouldn't b the one facing backlash, cause he just did what was instructed to him, he's a good actor and i respect him for obvious reasons, he was just not for lord Rama's role

Ramayan is a well documented story known by masses in India irrespective of religion. If these filmakers can manipulate this epic and highly influential story then take a moment to think about the other period movies they have made. People never quentioned the authenticity of those movies coz we vs them theme was presented. The point here is to Never trust these filmmakers.

This just shows why Brahmastra was a landmark in Indian vfx.... Even tho, it was Mediocre at its best but I still think what they achieved with the given budget is freaking insane... And by Indian standards they knocked it out of the park with VFX... This just shows how important the director is to the project.... I feel sorry for the actors involved in Adipurush... Director is to blame here
Brahmastra was done by the studio which has worked in great movies like inception i.e Dneg that's why even their basics looked great. Adipurush was done by Fractal pictures which is a startup company.
Apart from the dialogues I don't think Brahmastra was in any way mediocre. Yes the dialogues were not good but the world building was really nice. And the acting would have been great had the dialogues been good. And all those who were criticizing the VFX saying it was laser show and stuff where are those morons now?!!
@@jasmijayan Doesn't matter.... Startups oftentimes deliver great projects as well... This is project failed because it lacks vision... Even with terrible VFX... A good story has power to override all of that.... Old Ramayan had really lousy VFX but it didn't matter because it was true to it's source Material and the director had a vision...

It's not just "Ram-Charitmanas". Ramcharitmanas of Goswami Tulsidas is just 400 years old. You must tell kids/parents to also read the original Ramayan written by Maharishi Valmiki. Because the original is always OG. There is no better way to read about something from the original source.

There is a clip going Viral that Prabhas fans are beating a fellow person who said he is not right fit for the role and movie has glaring flaws just as we all knew. I will go further and say people are delusional if they think Prabhas is a good actor, He is a Star just like Salman but he is miles away from being called an actor.
From the limited filmography i have seen of him not once he struck as an actor. Economics of this film is botched up from 600+ cr budget to Prabhas costing north of 100-150cr for what his entire face and body is VFX and he is not even dubbing his Hindi version which Sharad Kelkar brings massive Gravitas, so he is basically costing 1/5th of the budget for plank acting and Tamil/Telgu dub which is not even 10-20% audience that is some messed up financing of the film.
P.S~ Saif is getting unnecessary flak as Raavan it's not his fault production design messed up the look. Put him in right costume just like Laal Kaaptaan and scale his character with proper dialogues he is one of the finest actors of cinema.
Unfortunately, Prabhas is not a Pan Indian Actor Or Star as only Bahubali franchise was hit otherwise you can check all his pan india films like Saaho and Radhey Shyam were big flop with big budgets.

I would literally give role of ravan to prabhas.
At the time of first trailer I knew that something like this would happen. Why you ask? Remember Tanhaji: The unsung warrior, Om Raut has shown lots of fake scenarios under creative freedom. This guys, Om Raut, who is a Maharashtrian, can fiddle around and present our Maharashtrian history as so as he wants, then what else can you expect from in case of Ramayan? I agree with adding small changes here and there but not being true with the source and changing the looks of characters just for modernization and changing main events and and storyline just for the sake of more thrill, drama and creative freedom is not ok!

I strongly believe that epics like Ramayan and Mahabharat cannot be justified by just a 3 hr movie.
It's like compressing the whole Harry Potter Franchisee in a single movie.
