Haven't seen anyone explain how to add transition chords with numbers and cadence. I've seen lessons about them but never could get a clear understanding as to how and why they function. Thank you multiplied by infinity

This video was super helpful! I love the use of the 2-5-1 as passing chords, is this something really common in gospel playing? Are there other progressions used in this way? (I'm working on my gospel chops right now and come from a CCM background)
