The reason most people don’t like serrated blades is basically because they don’t know how to sharpen them. Most people can’t sharpen a standard blade. I like serrated blades and often enough the blade will stay sharper and cut through a lot more. you can get a lot more out of a serrated blade. One man’s failures are another man’s gains. One way to stop carbon steel from corroding is to acid etch the surface. it leaves a surface black, and it is actually corrosion in a different way. It will stop corrosive rusting by pre-coding it with a different corrosion that does not deteriorate the steel.
Awesome video! Was wondering why Microtech changed the clip to the deep carry clip which is flimsier than the clip on your Stitch which I prefer. Will be ordering a Stitch soon. Thanks for sharing!
i think this is a great option for people in states or countries with stupid laws, i've always wanted a stitch but here in switzerland we have caly rules for automatic knives. anyway, i'll get my ram stitch tomorrow, thanks for the video!🤘
I just got an MSI with polymer scales and I have zero blade play and the action broke in really quickly. I'll just wait for new scales to come out from either Microtech or other people and upgrade it then.
I have a stitch, Great knife well made love Microtech knives but this thing just isnt made for leftys for starters, even in my right hand I just dont love it. This video convinced me I wont be getting a ram lock. This would be amazing if it were manual and flickable, should have added Spyderco to the collaboration, that would have made it probably the greatest EDC ever made, Micro Flick it, design the button to drop close the blade, no stupid ball bearings. I have a Socom Tanto Ive been carrying dated 1999, knife shows wear but is still perfect and Im not easy on my knives. Needless to say I dont need a $400 paper weight, Stitch is up for sale, never carried or cut anything, knew right off I wasnt keeping it,,,
G10!!!😱 What happened to aluminum of the original? So I assume they should be cheaper🤣🤣 dunno what it is, we've been waiting for this model for such a long time and yet I see and feel like Naaaaa 🤷♂️
I don’t love my classic Microtech knives because they have “new” and “innovative” locking mechanisms 🙄🙄🙄 I love them because they were 3d machined aluminum handles with an integrated robust locking bar…a modification of the liner lock…. I’m not running out to buy a new Amphibian…and I have 11 vintage examples from the green 2001 models through to a single 2007, black D-2 beauty…you’d think I might want one 🤷🏼♂️
Why do you dog Microtech so much? “M390MK”, their “lack of proper heat treatment”, the “chicken leg” claw, ETC. You may not mean nothing by it, but you give off the impression that you don’t care for them, as a company overall, that much. Nobody’s perfect, but Microtech is a GREAT knife company! ;-}. MM

Do you remember the Sebastian dude in Tuffthumbz old videos? Crazy he started borka blades and what he’s done since then.
Holy....shit....didn't even connect the dot. Mind blown
@@edged_mindset right?! Lol.
The up and down play might be due to the spring not being strong enough.
I’ve wanted a manual stitch for so long. How’s the lock feel I hate how a axis lock feels. And man that Odin is sick.
There is actually a little bit of play. Slightly disappointing

So you prefer the auto switch ?
yes
It is what it is, that really doesn't mean anything does it. It's like the word "actually".
Oh it does though. It means you can't change it, so it must be accepted and let go, no matter how difficult that might be.
@@edged_mindset dang I guess I'm going to have to accept it I think you're right! Lol

Is the opening spring assisted?
no
Love all my microtech knives even though it has a chicken leg on the blades. LOL 😂
🤣🤣🤣

I know…the recessed and oversized lock bar was innovative for the time…(1997/99)
Chicken leg😂
It's still 59hrc like they run all the steels they use smh they just refuse to use the hrc recommend by the steel manufacturers
I don’t like the exposed spring.
Keep your spring in your pants.

Not trying to dog, I just think.you can find humor in just about anything. No company or person should take themselves so serious
Made in China 😭
Incorrect. This is a USA made knife.
@@timothysmith2101 They got exposed.
It’s funny they done one knife with a Chinese company, and everything they do now is Chinese. lol
