For me, the first two years of BT are the most timeless of their career. It was during this time that I began to listen to Mariah more often and respect her legacy!
Technically wise in 2015 and more consistent vocals. She sounded like a mix of Charmbracelet and Daydream era during that year. She was more consistent in Eb5s (especially in Christmas, Baby Please Come Home), and E5s this year. In 2014, she had lots of upper belt attempts. And this was the start of her another prime level. In conclusion, these two years was her best concerts vocally.
Honestly 2015 has better attempts in Christmas BPCH and others, I think she was mixing more so she didn't have to push as hard to get clean upper belts. 2014 she hadn't quite figured out to work out her new found ease in upper belts, so it was a little hit or miss. Overall I still prefer 2014 because of her incredible energy and confidence, and those chesty belts really take you back to the 90s. 2015's reserved approach was also great, she was clearly thinking a lot more about technique.
And this makes me imagine what she'd sound like singing these songs in February - September 2016 when she was the most confident (vocally) in the decade (imo).
The D5 in CTINTAA is my favorite vocal from all of 2014 I think! 2015 obliterated JTTW and not just with the improv at the end, she was hitting all the upper belts!!
honestly these clips from 2015 remind me of 2024riah in energy 😭😭😭😭🤌, tho obviously more expressive, miss thing was still barely running like 2014riah 😔😔

I actually prefer 2014's Bb4, but 2015's improv section with the Eb5s and F5 (I think) are just too good Christmas Time is in the Air Again- 2014. no competition, that D5 alone is amazing O holy Night- 2014. 2015 has some better attempts (such as "when christ was booorn") but I prefer 2014's improvisation afterwards with the E5s. You can almost hear that she wants to attempt those F#5s she was so confident. Also the lowered larynx with 2014 really makes it sound like 1994. aiwfciy - 2014. 2015's intro was honestly like almost identical, it seemed liked Mariah was more confident and warmed up there. But overall 2014 had more E5 attempts (I think) and more energy + improv Extra: Emotions - 2014 for that intro alone. but other wise similar except for 2015 having less enrgy

2014, I do not know what she did to recover that tone of voice but she should do it again. 2015 her voice was already beginning to become more metallic and did not modulate open vowels, I think 2014 beacon Theatre was the last year Mariah was seen singing so comfortable and enjoying, She knew her voice was in good condition I guess that allowed her to enjoy music more.
2014 to me lol, I think 2015 was a more well rounded and technique wise more sufficient but 2014’s confidence just gave daydream type confidence. higher chesty belt attempts were just untouchable and honestly the tone just reminds me of late 1994 Mariah’s tone even with the energy slaying while not focusing to me on her voice 2015 seems like she’s hyper aware of her voice to where she’s overly cautious
IMO it's a tie. 2014 had the tone, the energy, the confidence, the ease in the upper belts, epic random attempts. 2015 had the falsetto, the runs were cleaner, her pitch was better, her control was better (I think in part 'cause in 2014 her voice was so good that she wanted to do everything she could - especially the last 3 dates, her voice was prime-level), better transitions too. Two mini vocal peaks. I wish she would do half of this nowadays...
