Great video, just a tip if you hit the push start button twice without your foot on the break it will go into auxiliary mode and no need to insert the key.
Wow! Oil filter on top. That makes it way easier, and the pan plug is right up front. Easier than my Silverado for sure. Nice video man your good at it. Thanks.
This is very helpful, as you cover start to finish. Thanks🙏 Now I’m confident I can attempt to do it myself. I was worried about the reset process, so been letting the dealer do it. Gonna be doing my own now👍👍👏👏👏
That plastic cap for the oil filter is labeled with a torque rating for a reason. Mine is 18Ftlbs. Go too crazy and your shopping for a new cap or cracking the housing ;)
I had my oil changed on my 2014 JGC with 30K at a local Ford dealership, now I have an oil leak coming from the filter housing, the cap is on really tight more than the 18 fp of torque. Help please.
@@tailgatetalk ok the cap says 5w 20 also I seen a comment where someone said when you take out the oil filter be careful there is a spring that could fall down into the engine is this true?
Wonderful video! I am 60 year old woman and I am inspired to change my own oil now! Wish me luck!

this video is better than the other one
Very helpful, thank you. I didn't know about resetting the oil change light by popping the cap off. Thanks again.

Great video. You're extra informative, which is really important.
My owner's manual and oil cap says 5W-20.
Thanks!

Thanks! Looks simple enough.
Awesome great video! Thank you!
My 2013 takes 5W20
Thank you. That was very informative.
Great video straight to the point. Was that a synthetic blend oil? And why not go full synthetic?
Thank you!!
Yes use 30
Stupid plastic clips on the filter broke off twice when I put it in the housing
good job
When I removed the filter the spring came out. How do I place the spring back in?

Jim Williams that’s a known issue. It fails bc it’s made of plastic.
I have a 2011 jeep grand Cherokee laredo v6 and it says 5w-20 should I stick with what my cap says or go to 5w 30?
Stick with whatever your engine is labeled for or specified in the manual.
