Carving A Simple Eating Spoon

- Hiii!
In this video I’m carving a simple eating spoon from ash. I really like spoon carving and have been doing It for about two and a half years now. Spoon carving is one of those things that you can do with a few hand tools and little resources.
For this spoon I chose a very simple design because there where some knots in this ash and since I wanted to make a simple video. I used a fresh (or green) ash branch from our garden to make this spoon. I used saws and an axe to make the branch into a ‘’blank’’, after that I used my knives to finish the spoon.
If anyone is interested in the tools I recommend or a more in depth video about spoon carving please let me know in the comments!

Beautiful!!
Thanks Amber!😄
How long have you been carving? I take it this wasn’t your 1st spoon. Turned out very nice! I give it 2 scoops!
I've been carving for 3 years but only consistently in the last year. Thank you so much for the kind words! I give this comment 3 spatulas ;)
100% handmade wooden spoon, super.
Thank you for your kind comment!
Awesome spoon. What kind of pencil do you use that marks wet wood?
Thanks!! Because I use green wood, which still contains a lot of moisture, most pens and pencils won't work very well. I use watercolour pencils, a nice hack I learned from some other spooncarvers! I hope this helps you :)
@@roosidzinga it does thanks for the info. 👌👌
Lovey spoon! What type of wood did you use?
Thank you!! I used ash for this spoon.😁
Wawww...Amazing Work.Subscraibt ! Greetings From Hungary ( Őrség )

No background music please
Thanks for the feedback! I'll probably make another spoon carving video without the music. :)
Miserable git. Music's fine fella, you crack on. Good job
Can't stand watching videos with Annoying background music!
