Corlea Botha isnt a soprano or mezzo , is a great integral singer , one of the best singers of South Afrika . In any moment you should must react to the other singers of Classics is groot . In this years from your order you could react to My Way , performed by Amira & friends ( the other talented singers of the Cig , between them , Corlea ) (2017 better than 2016 version ) and World in union , for example , sung for everybodies too , including Amira . The song was written nearly 140 years ago (1880's) for a soprano and mezzo soprano. A & C.
The play, (bit simplistic and short 🙄)), sorry), was about a mistress (Lakmé) and her servant (Mallika) Left behind in the house by the man who attended a Hindu ritual set in mid 19th century British India. They obviously went out for a stroll while having a chat... 😂 ain't that simplistic 😂 for a huge opera from Leo Delibes, named Lakmé.
This song, regularly used andmade dirty in advertisements, is still going strong. This duet is perfectly performed, and I actually like the background.

I listened to two opera pros singing it directly after Corlea and Amira. The were about equal in quality. Corlea is a friend of Amira’s, and has helped and coached her a bit. She was the only one in the show whose voice would blend with Amira’s. She’s generally a soprano, not a mezzo.

Great reaction. This is One of my favourite duets of Amira. Corlea is also a great singer.
This was sung at the 2017 Classics is Groot show in south Africa. Amira was 13. They both did solo numbers too. Amira sang Nessun Dorma and Amazing Grace. Corlea sang nights in white satin, and several tracks with other performers in the show.
In this duet, Amira is singing the part of Princess Lakme, who is worried about her father, her handmaid, Corlea, suggests a boat trip on the river as a distraction. It's sung in French, a language Amira doesn't speak fluently.
I'm not sure if you have listened to her version of Gabriella 's Song, which she sings in Swedish, but it is impressive, or how about Zoals Vrienden Doen. Sung in her native Dutch, there is a video with English subtitles, and it's a great little song, which no one reacts to. Think Abba recorded a version of it.
