A diferença da primeira pra segunda direita foi que ele inverteu mais na segunda, achataram a nota na 1*. Se fosse ano passado essa segunda direita valeria uns 9.3 fácil. A 1* esquerda ele segurou pra conseguir uma boa nota, já na 2* ele foi com tudo, se fizesse o tubo e fechasse com o Kerrupt teria que ser 10. Domingo ele voa!

sugestão para tornar a competição justa: quem chegasse no topo do ranking no início da final da Califórnia seria considerado o campeão de 2020, e quem ganhasse o playoffs seria o campeão de 2021! então seria uma transição justa dos modelos de disputa!

suggestion to make the competition fair: whoever reached the top of the rankings at the start of the California final would be considered the 2020 champion, and whoever won the playoffs would be the 2021 champion! then it would be a fair transition from the dispute models!
Gabriel Medina is not competing against other surfers, he is competing against himself and his past performances. And the judges seem to only give him an excellent grade if he does some circus stunts.

Hmmmm, part of surfing is positioning for the wave and wave selection, is it just me or is this a bit repetitive and slightly boring? Everyone is excited so there is that vibe of the artificial wave, it’s a novelty, but slightly boring. Great place to practice but an WSL CT event, I think not.
Wave is too long, too uniform and too fast. Waco is far more enjoyable to watch. A shorter wave, that has more distinct sections would be more interesting to watch. The joy would be to see the routines that the surfer sets and there would be more obvious variety between the surfers.
Why Brazillian surfers are wearing De Souza name at the back? any special?
