Inside the Vienna State Opera (Wiener Staatsoper) - Art & Architecture Tour

- Today we want to invite you for an Art and Architecture tour inside the Vienna State Opera (Wiener Staatsoper). It is completely free of charge and can be visited from Friday to Sunday from 11.00 to 16.00 o'clock (the last entrance is at 15.30).
Unfortunately, there is no information available until when Vienna State Opera will offer this tour, so for those of you who live in Vienna and neighborhood better hurry up. For navigation and information inside Viennese Opera you can either use your smartphone as an audio guide or navigate through the rooms using information displays available in each room.
Overall, you need 1-1,5 hours to complete Art & Architecture Tour. During the excursion you will be able to enter the Emperor's room, currently known as Tea salon as well as have a glimpse to impressive Auditorium from Central loge (Hoffestloge) which was used by Emperor and his guests and now can be rented out. During Vienna Opera Ball the Central box is used by Federal government and state guests.

Thank you for showing viewers the beauty of the interior of the Vienna State Opera. A beautiful building inside and out-a world class opera house with wonderful performers, stage decor and the Vienna Philharmonic. Many RUclips videos only show the exterior of the building. Back in 1971, I was a 22 year old music student and was able to see over 50 operas in the Staatsoper, all in standing room (4th and 5th tiers, if I remember.) There was a ritual where us standing room people would follow an usher up one of the side stairwells and when we got to the two higher tiers, we all ran for our standing room places. There was always an elderly woman sitting in the same standing room place with a small light an a musical score following the opera. I never found out who she was but I wondered if she had some connection to Mahler’s time at the opera (maybe a stretch of the imagination). No matter, it was a magical year of wonderful opera and concerts. Thank you again for this video.

in 1968 i saw nureyev in swan lake ... how come ... i tried to get a standing ticket ... the lady in front of me ... an austrian student ... elfriede ... got the last ticket ... she left ... but she came back ... and gave me her ticket with the words "i have seen him, you are from switzerland ... you can have my ticket" ... we stayed in contact and i invited her later a couple of times for lunch, when i was i vienna ... by the way my aunt was working in the diplomatic service in vienna ... 1939 she was at the opernball ... when she walked on the stairs ... the lost her underware ... during the war vienna did not dance ... etc. etc.
These are some great stories. I love the kindness of the young student. Losing underware while walking on the stairs at the Opernball is a great story for your children and grandchildren - 😂😂😂

Они этот торт решили как музейный экспонат сохранить. На фото мы видели, что кусок всё-таки мер отрезал. По нашей информации его потом доделывали, чтобы сохранить его на память
