I especially love the on-off mechanism for the nether portal. WOW! Now, being a total redstone newb and never knowing how to build my own stuff, I really like seeing how people think when they build redstone stuff and greatly appreciate when someone explains WHY their builds work. So I'd like to know, how did you know that the switch needed a repeater in place of the redstone in front of the obsidian? Like, what was the problem and why did the repeater fix it? Also, happy holidays! : ) Edit: I paused the video to type this up, submitted it, restarted the video, and just heard you say to not ask you how the mechanism works. XD Sorry! Still, maybe the one repeater part can be explained? : )
Thanks! Glad you like it 🙂 I explain the mechanism is a bit more detail in my Nether Portal video! The repeater sends out a renewed signal straight into the obsidian block, whereas the redstone dust only powers the block below it apparantly. That's my best guess!
Again, great episode. Love your work. I really love the honesty in the videos. Most RUclipsrs would delete the mistake where the dust instead of the repeater is running into the block for example. Everything feels like a natural tempo an ordinary player could keep up with. Impressive building but within range for everyone. Not some massive 1 million block megastructures from one episode to the next. Keep up the good work!!
The crafter is firing twice at your paper mill as well. That's the observer doing its job. It notices the change from 8 to 9 and then again from 9 to 8 when it crafts. To fix that, move the composter to 90° from the crafter comparator and put that one in subtract mode. This will cause it to only fire when it's at 9 power. Then instead of an observer you just have a redstone line going into a torch or whatever by the crafter. I can explain it more (and with pictures) on your discord server if you want. 😎

And I like the fact that you don't cut out when for instance the on/off button doesn't work in first try, but that you show us how you see a problem and how you fix it. Again: The pace of your videos are perfect. And I find it very satisfying just seeing your character slash skeletons in the end of the video. Secretly I sat hoping you would do it a lot more 😆
So do you have the linear or tactile keys for the keyboard? I love my mechanical keyboard but it's getting a bit long in the tooth and I'm after a new one that is quiet (for recording). Great episode, loved the mill and thanks for explaining how to trigger the crafters.
I got the linear switches! I used to need to bring out towels etc to cover my keyboard during recording whilst playing to dampen the sound coming from my keyboard... These are absolutely silent.
This is the best minecraft letsplay out there because everyone else do very fast hardcore minecraft mega base builds and your bringing back the relaxing vibe to the game…. Also What are your computer specs? I want to buy a new PC and i want to know what to buy.
