Thanks for the video. Just to add, there is not only one ''traditional'' Amazigh in Morocco, but at least three main Amazigh ''dialects'': Riffian in The Rif, Northeast. Shelha in the Midle (Atlas-Al-Saghir and Middle Atlas). Soussia in (the Grand Atlas and the South) .. Totally different dialects and sounds diffrent...
@14:00 No, we do not trace our origins to Yemen(haplogroup J1) or Eastern Africa. We are essentially the result of a "back to Africa" migration that occurred between 40,000 and 12,000 years ago, initially represented by mtDNA U6. Our indigenous North African component, also known as the Amazigh component, is comprised of three ancient populations: the Iberomaurusians, the Natufians from the Neolithic Levant, and Neolithic Iberians, which can also be referred to as Anatolian farmers who migrated via Iberia. Our mtDNA U6 is a sister lineage to European U5. Therefore, you could say that our genetic indigenous profile (mtdna 6 and Y haplogroup E-M81)clusters with West Asians and Southern Europeans, as we all share and/or came from the same ancestral source populations. The Iberomaurusians are the oldest of these three ancient populations responsible for our DNA profile. These ancient individuals trace part of their ancestry(55%) from the Caucasus, while the other part is classified as ANA (Ancestral North African), likely connected to the Aterian culture, who were a North African type of Neanderthal. Thus, we are our own people, neither Middle Eastern, nor European, nor Sub-Saharan African, with our own indigenous markers. We are not a result or an intermediary between "Africa", Europe, and the Middle East as some people wrongly assume. Cheers
@10:50 Amur a kush is where the term Mauri/Moor is derived from..Ancient Mauretania present day Morocco, the land of the Moor/Mauri people. Not to be confused with modern day Mauritania. Moor /Mauri or the Amazigh, the "Berbers".
