Thank you for doing this. "Fred Again" is UK EDM DJ who mixes with loopers/ beat machines and other equipment. He samples singers voices and mixes it all up. Ren went to a concert and heard him playing a set of lyrics that broke him to the core and Ren said those set of lyrics described his last 10 yrs of fighting his autoimmune disease by himself. He liked many of his songs so mashed them up into this one. He stripped down dance club music into the acoustic version you heard.
The song covers in this mash-up are from the Fred Again music catalog (( UK Artist/DJ/Musician/Producer )) Ren's mash up is comprised of the main hooks from these EDM tracks by Fred Again, an acoustic performance by Ren makes this an outstanding stand alone piece. It's Genius!!🤯 - Jungle🔥 - Delilah (pull me out of this)🔥 - leave me alone🔥 - Clara (the night is dark)🔥 - Angie (I’ve been lost)🔥 Here’s what Ren wrote about it: “We went and watched Fred in LA back in October, toward the part of his set he played Angie (I've been lost) and the simplicity but power of that one repeated line pretty much broke me and I remember breaking down in the middle of a crowd of people. Something so simple pretty summed up the last 10+ years of my life and explained everything in a sentence. Music is fucking magic for that. Big big love to @fredagainagainagain for making wicked music!”.
Also subbed. This is definitely in my top 5 Ren songs. Really grabs at your heart. It isn't just one single facet of the performance that moves me - it is the combination of the voice, the guitar, the emotional overlay, the performance. It is just spectacular for its authenticity alone. PS I do agree that there is a chance that the algorithms are pushing down reactions to independent artists. I will definitely click into a different Ren reaction on your channel and let you know which one so you can see if our suspicions are confirmed.
@@chordsandnotesnation Sounds like I have a lot more listening to do. You also have reactions to a whole lot of artists that I like. Really looking forward to exploring your channel.
How the hell haven't I seen your channel before.....well you popped up in my feed now so a new sub added! Great reaction dude! Loved your commentary at the end, ren is something unique in a musical world that is full of meh...his rawness, his vulnerability, his pure love for music shines thru in everything he does. It brought back my faith that there is good music out there!
Thank you for your enthusiasm. I do appreciate it. Ren is so unique to my ears. I have reacted to over 50 of his songs...and counting. Please check out my playlist
Ren doesn’t get the choice to avoid the “conflict”, you speak of, because he has had to deal with pain in his body every day. Only once he ‘d recognised it might never go away did he ‘relax’ and does his best to keep working whilst looking for medical help. I’m gonna listen to your take on ‘Lost All Faith’ now to further hear your take on Ren going down the path of becoming agnostic.
I was unsubscribe. Keep in mind Ren is an independent artist plus he sings about violence, depression, snd dealing with chronic illness. When he looks at the neon pig “Sick Boi” logo not once but twice during Angie ( I ‘center been lost)… no words.😶 My 2nd favorite is the different “everyone” he sang.
I find that what goes in my feed is based on the artist being reacted to and not necessarily the channels I'm subscribed to. It's a little annoying, because sometimes I want to be introduced to new artists. There are also artists I don't like to support for political reasons and I know I'm not alone there, either.
I don't think the record companies like these independent artists that are blowing up. It's a shame but as fans we keep pushing. Great reaction.
5 songs blended into a masterpiece. ❤

I'm not sure how that particular algorithm works, but I've noticed that too
