Love how she analyzes deeply before giving her answers. You know it's pure and comes from a very personal place.

she's too intelligent for my understanding, but at the same time, her intelligence makes everything she says understandable. literally so cool. love her.
I think Cate loves these exercises because it gives her a chance to ' think clean' again. So exciting to watch this intelligent, sensitive woman Thinking Out Loud. She is so generous with her time, her thoughts and her honesty.

I found Cate so interesting , for a person who has achieve what she has , she seems so humble and easy to talk to .. make me really admire her... I think working with her has to be amazing.
yes, people who have worked with her (director, actress & actors, extra) all praise her talent & work ethic & her personality (warm, nice, funny, fun, down to earth, etc). Many directors & actress/actors want to work with her. I know about that from the interview (in print or video) of the directors/actor/actress/extra when they talk about Cate
I could easily listen to her for days, she's my number one role model

During this quarantine, i had watched most of cate blanchett interview... and god! She's so amazing!!!! smart and funny... no dull moments listening to her.. very interesting person!!

I have been following Cate's career for a while and the last time I saw an interview as deep and beautiful as this one was in 2005 on the show More Than Enough Rope with Andrew Denton. I love it when she's just having fun and making us laugh, but it is always great to get to know the mind and soul of this incredible human being more deeply. Thank you!

As i sit here in quarantine watching this as I wait for my online class to start, I am pausing so much to write down so many quotes that Cate says and i almost wasn't able to finish watching before my class but she is so inspirational to listen to and to get a glimpse into her perspective.
This was very interesting. Also for someone who is not an actor.
Cate is not only a great actor, but also a very interesting and wise human being.

I really like that he just let her speak throughout all of the questions. I think it is hard to let go the sense of being judged and reveal who we really are, especially the questions were so intriguing. Well done professor! Nice interview.
Class is an elusive quality... it can't be bought, can't really be taught, but certain people like Cate Blanchett are equipped to shine it like a beam over their horizons.

Thank you, Professor Crewdson, for organizing this. I am not a Yale MFA Photography student, I come to you from Ferrara, Italy, I work as a middle school teacher. This interview is invaluable and so inspiring. This lady is everything. I so appreciate her depth, and the flood of thoughts she shares so freely.
This interview is incredible. I especially like what Cate said about coming out of this pandemic not having produced anything, and that it’s okay - we’ve created a society where it’s all about manic output all the time, but sometimes it’s important just to take time to listen and absorb.

I'm fascinated by the interview process with Cate Blanchett/I watch her face reading a thousand thoughts flashing through her churning mind/everything that she seems to see and feel, finds this ordered place in the process of her work in theatre and film/intelligent, ordered, curious, a 3 dimensional mind, and understands feelings, both emotional and physical, from within and externally/kya baat hai!
Her face is just botox, fake teeth and a nose surgery!
No respect for her anymore.
She's amazing 💙

Mary Mapes, Carol Aird and Marion Loxley more closely approximate the
real Cate Blanchett.

Just watch this and thought it was fabulous. Then when she answered with Zapharelli’s Romeo and Juliet and omg I saw that version at school and thought it must have have been the version everyone watched in the 80’s
Listening to this interview her cultivated accent is SO STRONG.
She was trained in theatre plus lives in England... that’s pretty much the standard recipe to get a cultivated accent.

How refreshing to see an actress being able to converse in an intelligent way without having to do the vacuous celeb thing! Although, I must say, ms Blanchett can also infuse that kind of situation with her wit and entertain us all the while maybe feeling she would much rather swallow frogs or something.

@@elnavandermerwe5098 I see. :) It's interesting, because during this kind of conversations about art, theatre, acting, her experiences (success, failures, etc)...she always seems to be more relaxed. She can phrase well her thoughts about the questions with no interruption. But, of course, she might probably be tired...but not from these conversations, I think.
