This is the tracks the trains use that run from the Argentine in Kansas city Kansas when leaving the old SantaFe Fueling Yard where I am at and live. Great video.
These tracks run beside the river to this point. The only crossing tracks is in the West bottoms from the Kansas city Kansas uptown near central avenue.
The mixture of locomotive sounds, the clickity clack of the wheels, and the horns blowing, add the whine of jet engines from the planes flying overhead. It's the sounds of progress in action.
The bridge he is on is only used by MOW now and is accessible from South West Bvd. It used to go to a restaurant on the bluff that was closed in the 1980's do to ground shifting.
The BNSF coal and UP auto rack are heading south on the former Frisco and MKT lines that split apart at Paola KS and go south to Ok and Texas. The flyover you see is what most of the trains going north on the former SF use going through La Plata.
The highest bridge is relatively new, so perhaps that's why you were unaware of this. However, while the three levels are near each other, they don't cross at the same point like the famous crossing I Richmond Virginia.

Its in both..The one train in far left west side is in kansas the state line is right there...This technically old burlington jct and sante fe jct is just directly around the hill to the left......nice video
Awesome.. I love the coal cars and auto racks running the exact same speed. Never seen anything like that before.
Pretty cool video. I was the one running the KCT switch engine.
That's too cool. Wish you had invited me for a cab ride.

Rail lovers bucket list.
I tested concrete for the roundhouse conversion. That was a long time ago. I worked for an engineering company in Lenexa.
Sante Free is one of my favorite railways
Whew! One of the most interesting, unique, well-edited rail videos, I've seen in a while. A very fine example of this new generation of work.

Ah, the Hi-Line and KC Terminal!
A union pacific auto train just derailed in Kansas city today! Look on the railcam
Thank you for this. :D
Love the introduction!
My old neighborhood! I didn’t realize I was a rail fan until I moved away, to Colorado. Only one train here in town lol!

What kind of "progress" and for whom?
@@douglasskaalrud6865 : MAGA progress, we just keep winning, are we tired of winning yet?
Very well done !!!.
Way incredible KC railfanning
Thanks much.
Nice Video
Great video .
Really liked the intro .
Go a couple miles north to see U.P. trains roll through the west bottoms.
Like the action at 8:00, one going south to Springfield, MO. on the ex-Frisco withe other going out on the ex-KATY.
Nice there's a wamx in town.
Great video. I'm curious, where were you standing to take these shots? I'd love to go there and observe myself!
@8:58 double Exec macs on that train :O
What bridge are you standing on in the beginning of the video? It's a great location.

Is this location "Santa Fe Junction"?
Is that coal they are hauling ?
Where is this in relation to the Kansas City Railcam from Virtual Railfan?
About a mile south of it.
Where does the BNSF coal going south go thru, Jeff City or Maybe Springfield and what tracks would BNSF use to go to La Plata.

It was the KCT roundhouse. Not KCS's.
Oops - thanks for the correction.

This place is insane for railfanning, good lord.....
Considering going to Kansas for some railfanning.... at the 40 second mark, where exactly are you recording from?
West 27th Street, just west of Southwest Blvd.
Drews Trains pp
Is this a triple cross of tracks? I thought there was only one place in the USA where that happened

Ah ok thank you.
1:43: sounds like an airplane.
That’s because that was an airplane, locomotives sound different than that
Is this Kansas or Missouri?
Missouri, although the next one crosses the river into Kansas
SantaFe AllTheWay is this close to st. Joseph?
A whole lot closer than to Arizona. But I wouldn't walk it.

be a good place for a live cam
I prefer there not to be one in these parts of KC.. that would ruin the fun for us here
Kansas City railfan why it be an excellent choice
Good news! They actually just put one up!
A good day for coal trains or what?
