conch piercing was a 4/10 on pain. the skin is thick so it doesn’t really hurt. it was one of my favorite piercings. had to take it out because it wasn’t healing properly due wearing masks (the string would hit my piercing causing huge scarring and bumps) definitely get it once masks aren’t mandated or wear jewelry that won’t interfere with your mask!!!
I think if you plan to donate you should also be aware and conscientious that someone less fortunate has to face the "reality" of the alterations you make while you own the clothes and the size labels that are now inaccurate... Maybe personalizing the size labels to depict a more accurate reality would help everyone's ego
