  • Hey there,
I've noticed that I've never did a Grasshopper Parametric Tower, so here is one. Maybe we can even advance a little bit on the future on that one, but it works for now. It can bring a variety of different outcomes for a quick design.
So far, it is based on a simply polygon, hexagon, octagon, or whatever, which is then moved upwards, and afterwards rotated to a certain degree. Furthermore, there is a scale depending on a graph that re-parameterizes the numbers from 0 to 1 thus allowing us to change the scale accordingly to the middle point of each floor slab.
Then, we give all our line drawings some 3dminesional shapes with offsets, extursions and pipes.
The files can be downloaded here: github.com/Mic...

Thanks for sharing. What do you recommend to twist from bottom up to the 65% with x amount of angles, and on top to twist from 40% to 100% height to create differente angled areas?

create two custom points use 2pt vector, then use the move command, and use the input geometry as the geometry you want to move and the thing to the 2pt vector output

For this, you need a the plugin of Bifocals. it creates those names above it, you can download on food4rhino.

@@SatoshiBuilds Sure I havent seen all your vids but maybe a video with an explaination about data flow, flatten, graft those kind of things. How to keep your grasshopper files as light as possible.

why cant I move/click on the tower in the main window? it wont let me

    • @SatoshiBuilds

It only exists in the Grasshopper environment, you need to bake the geometry into rhino so you can use it in Rhino(to click on it or modifiy it further there)
