He even stayed home when they were young, while my mother in law got her nursing degree since his career was already established. I saw an interview woth his Mom, and she mentioned wanting a divorce sooner but being obligated to stay because of her kids. So the arrangement wasn't something she wanted she just did what she had to do. I feel sad for Akon that he had that experience.
