I can hear the love you have for your animals in your voice. My redfoot friend Mr. T has been with me since 1980. He was 6 pounds when I got him and 20 pounds now. 44 years...He's incredibly curious and friendly and communicates what he wants very clearly. Last year we moved from New Jersey to New Mexico and I was very concerned about how he would make the move but he adapted quite well. He met all the hotel employees wherever we stayed on the trip, posed in many selfies, and enjoyed strawberry treats and walkabouts at rest stops. Being friends with a reptile has been an amazing experience for more than half my life. I can see that we share that experience. Keep it up. I love sharing your experience.
Ur videos have helped me through tough times of getting paralyzed back when u moved into ur home. U have made some of my bad days turn into great days by simply watching u sir. I’m close to ur age. I think Matt is by far one of the coolest people u have had working for u. Tom is cool too but Matt brings a different style to ur channel. He has me cracking up so much especially with his early days with u. Thanks Kenan for what u do
OG is a wonderful term... works for old guys and us old gals as well ! And Kenan...that image of you as a Goofy Goth is perfect. That goofy part runs deep and it breeds joy in all of us ! Thanks for this very special video !
Hey Kenan! Great video as always! As a French viewer I would say the man you bought the aldabras from is likely Karim Daoues. He has one of the oldest reptile pet shop in Paris called la ferme tropicale and imports animals from all over the world. It could be someone else of course but he’s the most famous Karim here in the reptile community so chances are good! So nice to see the animals thriving! I remember when you started doing video and build the pond for them. Here’s to many more years of Kamp Kenan!
17:53 I LOVE Guapo and Lola. They are my favorite residents by far. However, I do have a soft spot for large tortoises. I would absolutely have one if I lived in Florida.
They may not be the most exciting new additions to the camp, but the ogs are the ones who have always been there in the background through everything you went through. Great to see they are all still here and thriving, especially Lumpi.
Bamboo shoots can be harvest and eaten... yum. Also, u should try to saw a piece of bamboo, saw where the sections are, rinse it out a bit, put water and some rice in there, cover the end, and put on grill... it has a really neat taste wrapped in its inner lining
I just hope you continue to educate the future generations to come!! My favorite thing to do is watch your old video's to see how much Nos, Darwin & Socks have grown & it blows me away at the size difference. A tortoise my grow slow but you have it documented from way back then & you can see the difference!! That goes for you too Kenan, you have filled out more since you've been with Kate...you were sooo thin when you started your channel, now your nice & buff 😂
Great video and great animals! I have a blood python going on 16 years now. She's never bit me or showed any kind of aggression. Wish snakes were more interactive like your iguanas though LOL
Really interesting video today seeing your old residence tortoises, sorry to here about your friend who passed really makes the tortoise very special to you. Keep up the good work
Respiratory ailments (ie; pneumonia) are the #1 killer of tortoises in captivity. Tortoises often don’t show signs of illness until it becomes fairly advanced as a defense mechanism in nature. At the advice of my vet I had to familiarize myself with the use of a nebulizer/nebulizing chamber when my female star tortoise suddenly crashed one day. Thankfully she made a total recovery but the first few treatments were really touch-and-go.
Kenan, have you ever considered getting a different female for Guapo and a different male for Lola? Since you said they don’t like eachother it might be a win-win for you and them
Such awesome animals. I do wonder at breeding more sulcatas just because how flooded rescues are with them, and how few people ever manage to keep one and not get rid of it for being too much work.
The OG’S great episode, when you do the next og episode we gotta have names for all the curly tails, Elvira mistress of the dark 😂 Have a great day 👍💯🖖
Here in Denmark i keep sulcatas too but I don’t breed anything but ivory or albinos and my normal female o use for different hybrid projects as babies are hard yo sell nowadays and almost all i have sold i get back severely deformed even though i advise very well and answer 40 questions a day from people who buy animals from me they go listen to old keepers and read outdated care sheets then keep their babies bone dry effectively destroying them
It is true. At the moment It's unethical to breed sulcata in the US. You said yourself you're at capacity. Now imagine all the rescues drowning in sulcata and red eared sliders. Being part of the herp community in the southwest, people find released sulcata in the Mojave and Sonoran deserts all the time. They cost $50 as hatchlings, which is very affordable. Most people who purchase them aren't equipped to care for them especially long term. So they release them or surrender them to rescues.
You should do something special for Camp Kenan's BIG 20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY 🖤🥳‼️ Can you really believe that 😱💯⁉️ I think lumpy needs a girlfriend or something 😢 Turtles are definitely smart and social creatures 🤗💕 I know your worried anout him, but I think starting it slow with 1 turtle and one of the opposite sex may be help with the aggression 😅🩶
Kenan! I'd love to see a video of you digging up some of those eggs! I feel like it's been a while since I've seen you do that on camera. Or maybe I've missed a vid or two... Either way, it would be awesome to see 😁
@1:22 -- Big Mama's face says, "I'm GONNA HEAD BUTT YA, KENAN, if you don't get out of my way!" EDIT: Big Mama's head turned towards Kenan after he announced she was 120 lbs. NEVER tell a lady's weight, Kenan!!!!
I got my 3 Toed in 79 and my Eastern in 80, they have changed soo little, they will probably outlive me though. Made a mistake in getting a female and now they fight to draw blood and have to separate them
I wish I could start up a little camp, but I live all the way up here in Maine all the way up north on the East Coast from you buddy I love your videos keep up the good work and please respond back to me about my question I’ll love❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sulcatas are amazing, but unsuitable for most people. I am glad that we don’t have so hospitable climate and lots of space in Europe, otherwise we would be flooded with mistreated animals. Tortoises should never get so cheap and easily available to end up like this. Actually, for this reason, I think that Aldabras are more suitable. They are much more expensive, much bigger and need much more careful consideration beforehand. And even if they are larger, they are less distractive, because they don’t dig.
Just wondering would it be nice to get a female Salata Tortoise to keep Lumpy company, I sure in the wild they would not live alone but in small group to keep each other company

I love Guapo & Lola! While Slinky will always be The King of the Kamp, all the animals are ambassadors & amazing in their own right. 🐍🦎🐢🐊❤️
Agreed!
Absolutely 👍❤
U and Kate yeling was PURE gold ❤❤❤😂😂😂
:)

Videos like this is why I became a fan of the channel. This was a very smooth and natural video. Good conversation, good variety of tortoises.
Me too. Is just fun to watch a man enjoy his animals without throwing a show just for RUclips

Cool to see all the ogs been part of the kamp since the start and cool to see them all still doing good
17:53 I LOVE Guapo and Lola. They are my favorite residents by far. However, I do have a soft spot for large tortoises. I would absolutely have one if I lived in Florida.
On a down day, Guapo and Lola will always love you!
No wonder I like this channel. From one cheerful 90s Goth kid to another!!!
(My son started laughing, said "sounds just like you Mom!")
You are such a lucky man to have all those amazing animals and it’s nice that you know how lucky you are
It's not just luck he put his part in. His animals wouldn't be what they are if he wasn't a competent caregiver
„The neighbours know now everything what‘s going on“ made my day! 😂
I love how you are to/with your animals.
Love ❤ and greetings from Germany
Thank you Iris!
20:30 I really hope you’re right Kenan, that is my dream.
It was so nice to see lumpy, we don’t get enough lumpy content. I love all the tortoises and always enjoy seeing them 🐢🐢💚
Thank you!!!!
They may not be the most exciting new additions to the camp, but the ogs are the ones who have always been there in the background through everything you went through. Great to see they are all still here and thriving, especially Lumpi.
Loved learning more about your history as well as the animals.
It's awesome to think of what the Kamp will look like in the next 20 years.
Best video day ever! Kenan with his OG reptiles! Love this channel 💗
Awesome video, as usual! Lola and Guapo are amazing lizards. We all thank you so much for the knowledge you're passing down. Keep being awesome!
You have the LIFE, love the animals and the way you do your best to replicate their environment, my dream as a reptile lover is what you're living.
Love to see Lumpy. Would be nice to see one of the females moved into his enclosure.

You have awesome animals and care for them fantastically.
It would be cool to see the old photos love all the tortoises, guapo and Lola
What an adventure!! Thanks Kenan.

Wonderful video. Lumpy is why I got my own sulcata. He just seems to have such personality. My Matilda (Hope it’s a female) is now 3 years old.

Great video and great animals!
I have a blood python going on 16 years now. She's never bit me or showed any kind of aggression. Wish snakes were more interactive like your iguanas though LOL

Oh, no! Say it ain't so, Lucy!
Guapo (Desi) and Lola (Lucy) were the eternal couple!
Such awesome animals. I do wonder at breeding more sulcatas just because how flooded rescues are with them, and how few people ever manage to keep one and not get rid of it for being too much work.
Throwback video from the beginning! Mostly tortoises. Love it
Awesomeness!! Almost to million subs! Let’s

EDIT: Big Mama's head turned towards Kenan after he announced she was 120 lbs. NEVER tell a lady's weight, Kenan!!!!
Funny I got into reptiles from the plant world ❤
I think Lumpy needs some ladies in his life!!! 😊😊
💚💜
guapo and lola deserve a cage upgrade like slinky 😭
I got my 3 Toed in 79 and my Eastern in 80, they have changed soo little, they will probably outlive me though. Made a mistake in getting a female and now they fight to draw blood and have to separate them
How comes you never named the sulcuters? Love how number 8 was trying to talk to u was a cutie ❤
I know Collin isn't a day 1 but how about an update on the old fella?
I wish I could start up a little camp, but I live all the way up here in Maine all the way up north on the East Coast from you buddy I love your videos keep up the good work and please respond back to me about my question I’ll love❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
:)
I kno u have prob said many times but how old is slinky and how/when did u get him?
Would love to see a picture of your goth look.😊
15:07 😂❤
You should put one or two of the females with Lumpy 😁
Your Tortoises look great
Can you put a tick medicine on them?
We love this channel.
You will never lose anything as long as you have all of us supporters 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Ur still handsome.. even how many years later ❤
:)

Great points!
Just wondering would it be nice to get a female Salata Tortoise to keep Lumpy company, I sure in the wild they would not live alone but in small group to keep each other company
Where are your leoparcata now sir?
Also what happened to Crazy Sophia and Stumpy (I think his name is) use live behind Slinky old accommodation
❤
:)
Tyty 🙃
Loved the vid Kenan 👌🏻
I thought that Slinky was the oldest one, and what about those Iguanas like the male and the female one or master donmics .
Does Lumpy have an enclosure to go in at night?
Your animal food bill alone is more than my annual income... yea not having a camp here lol
👍👍👍👍👍👍
I wonder what Kenan thinks of tarantulas
How is Colin as I haven't seen him for a while?
❤❤❤❤
Lets go kamp fam
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😅
