Great video! I really enjoyed it. It is interesting to see how the Belgian version is very slightly different to the UK version, for example in the 640SLB I am using, the fridge is higher with a wardrobe underneath it. I completely agree with all your points, especially that sliding door and the messy garage! Sometimes I use a cab door to get in and out, squeezing behind the seat. Groetjes uit Schottland!
Andrew, the bigger fridge is an option. Standard it is a 90L fridge with a wardrobe beneath, optional you can have the 150L fridge but than you loose the wardrobe. Because the 640 has 2 extra cupboards underneath the beds we went for the bigger fridge. Thanks 🙏 for the complement, it means a lot getting it from a pro like you!
We are recently retired and keep coming back to motor homes/camper vans .We are currently looking at the 2021 model of this van .It’s great to see how real this review is ….. good and bad .Your English is fantastic.Thank you for this content 🇬🇧😍
We’re off to Dusseldorf camper van show next week. Very excited! Hope to get an Adria Twin Supreme! Your vid sold it! Despite the snags! Thanks a million!
I’ll be there Saturday and maybe Sunday before noon. Will be doing a meet up with some other youtubers at some time Saturday afternoon. Come and say hi 👋!
Great video and very informative. I came here from an Andrew Ditton recommendation and hes right, you produce very good videos. Me and my wife are going shopping later this year for a van. Ive noted your point about the truma heating being electric and gas. Keep the videos coming and thanks for those already done
Still waiting for our Twin Supreme. The Van should arrive in the next two weeks, so it's nice to watch your Videos with a lot of practice tips. Greets from Northern Germany Mike
Did you get the 640SLB as well? Ours is in the shop this week for the last repairs. Already planning the next video. If you have video requests let me know.
Nice video, i really enjoyed your style and walk thru with your experiences. We are moving from a motorhome to a camper van. Thats how i found You. Very informative, You earn a subscribe. Happy adventures!
Van Lossie Yes, Swedens approach has been different. O've been social distancing on my adventure bike alot as well with the RV. Camper van since yesterday 😂 holy cr*p what i love this camper. Your SLB looks awsome as well, inspired me to take a closer look at the Twin. Had Pössl in my mind before, but happy that i got this eye opener. If you want you can see how our premiere looked loke in our close area. facebook.com/mattias.eriksson.7798
very useful thanks. We pick up a similar van next week (hymercar free). We had a VW camper for 10 years so a sliding door you have to slam is not an issue. Can you show your revering camera & CarPlay setup at some point in the future please ?
Well thank you Ian, happy to hear it was useful. Hymercar was an option for me as well, but there wasn’t a dealer close by enough. I’m sure you’ll be very happy with it. I’ll gladly make a video about the carplay setup. We got the van back yesterday, so the vlogging can continue ☺️
@@vanlossie We could not get a nearby dealer so we have to go 145 miles (233 Km) to pick the van up. There were none of the new Adria Twins available to see when we were looking. It looks a great van.
Fantastic videos. I have the same van and I also experienced the water draining from the frost protection valve. In my van it drained the whole fresh water tank. Did yours do the same as the instruction manual says it should only drain the 10L truma boiler tank?
Hi, I have the other skyroof brand - a Rapido Dreamer D55+. It’s been interesting to watch your videos and compare my van to the Adria. Some of the issues that you talk about here are common with my van too, particularly the separate button for the radio. With mine, if I leave it, the radio is controlled by the ignition, and if I want to use it with the ignition off, I press the button. I think this mode of operation would work for you too. With the sliding door, if you have a window or cab door open, the sliding door is easier and quieter to close, as the air inside the van has somewhere to go.
Are you happy with the dreamer? Looked at it as well, but the interior colors of the twin were more to my liking. The cupboard shower of the dreamer is a cool design. In the end the preference for me went to the twin but it was surely a good alternative.
Van Lossie Yes, very happy with the Dreamer. It was a close decision with the Adria - I went to the Düsseldorf show last year to decide. Both have pros and cons. Of course the skyroof Dreamer is only available as a 6m van at the moment, but I’m only 1.7m tall, so the transverse bed works for me. Just like you, there are some things that I don’t like or think could be better designed or constructed, but overall, it is very good. We downsized from a larger coachbuilt van and the Dreamer is much more practical with fewer compromises, and we are using the Dreamer much more.
Aaaah now I remember. The fact that it only had the 6m and transverse bed was the other point. The transverse bed is actually longer than our beds. 1,96m vs 190 on the left and 180 on the right. But one of the kids could lay in between us if needed. We can’t do that in the transverse bed. Happy to hear that it is serving you well. What was it like to downsize?
the Adria has a nicer grill badge. I just have a Hymer one but it's quite plain. I'm gonna try to remove some of the Hymercar badges as there are too many. Hair drier out later today to see if I can de-badge.
Thanks for the video. Quite a few faults with the van which is off putting! Don't know how something like the auto lights would not be working on a brand new van, I wouldn't be happy having to take it to some local dealer for a mechanic to take factory fitted parts off to get to the issue, but hope you get it sorted.
We just bought a Supreme 640 SLB like your's and the question occurs: Where do you keep your waste bin? In a caravan it's always mounted on the inside of the door, but in a camper van?
Just subscribed - loved your video and looking forward to catching up. One quick question - can you sit up in bed to read or relax? It the roof high enough.?
Well thank you. Yes you can sit on the bed. The roof is more then high enough. The cupboard are in the way though. My kids sit en lie on the bed all the time.
I forgot to mention. Please do a follow up on how your fix or correct list was or was not resolved. Please be specific to how your dealer is responsible to covering Adria's blunders. Are these matters specifically detailed in the sales contract? What was your overall experience? Best wishes.
It is not as black and white. These things are not build like cars. So for things to be overlooked is not abnormal so adria or any other campervan brand and their resellers know it, even expect it and just fix it. You have a 2y warranty. The whole list got solved. The cupboard door was fixed, the radio button was removed, the automatic lights was fixed by the fiat dealer, the parking sensor was due to the tow hook and they disabled the middle ones and the fridge was not actually wrong. It had to do with the way such a fridge works, it goes to -20. But weirdly enough it needs to be 20 degrees in the van to do so, if it is too cold in the van, the freezer does not get cold enough. It says so in the manual. So overall experience was good.
one more question. can you please tell me the exact battery typ of the rear battery and if possible, the type of the charger? I plan to use lead crystal instead of AGM - thats why
Yes the doors should be self soft closing like experienced on quality cars. I own a Vantage Neo and from day one had no issues. I guess it's built better but then I may be biased. I know all the "European" vans imported here to NZ have bad build qualities that you have experienced. They are getting better but lack quality control that the smaller build companies like Vantage motorhomes have. ( Based in Leeds)In fact the Neo is kept in England for us to use and I bought a Vantage Sol model to use here in NZ as they're awesome. Have checked all models available by visiting lots and lots of dealers in Europe and visited the Birmingham show several times and still think the Vantage is the best build. PS have also owned German built Carthago which was too big for the roads we like. Kept it in Mainz but sold after four years. So I have experienced both big and small campers.Sorry about the long winded rave🌝
It does not surprise me that custom builds are better in QA. That is what you get with a larger volume assembly. On the flipside, that is what makes them cheaper.
My adria twin sp . Australia 2018 model. Needed truma hot water system replaced, then the submergable pump got burnt out. Food needs to be frozen before you place it in the freezer. Read manual .It will freeze water for ice, because water freezes at 0. In Australia we call van with doors like this “ wizbangers”.
Hello, I wanted to sugesst Raggisar from Ikea to you. We already took them to our dealer and they fit like a glove to most cabinets, I have already stocked up on them since we are planing to use them for pretty much everything. They don't make noises and you can squisch them a little bit. Looking forward to more Viedeos. Cheers Bettina
@@vanlossie yes. The big once in the back for clothes etc. And the small once in the bathroom or turned around in the cabinet over the kitchen. I also have already tried a few layouts ( I am a bit crazy with organisation) in the drawers as well. They really fit in sizes and style.
I took ages to get the heating & hot water working in our Hymercar. Turned out I needed to open the taps to get air out of the system so the Truma combi would fill with water & start working. I accidentally opened the drain on the fresh water so most of it ran out.
With only 2 adults is indeed better, but I can’t get rid of the kids just yet 😅 and I didn’t want a bigger one with beds I won’t use when the kids don’t want to join anymore.
