the storyline of the mv isn’t actually in order. The first event is when Jiu is wearing the pink dress and is holding the sword which is pointed at Yoohyeon. Jiu throws down her sword, showing mercy to Yoohyeon who picks it up and swearing “loyalty” to her. Yoohyeon and Jiu then become close friends but Yoohyeon, at the dinner scene, poisons Jiu which is why she is laying on the table (the scene reminds me of the last supper, the night before Jesus was betrayed). The lyrics has lines like “All the truths I believed Covered me in falsehoods” which basically means that Jiu knew that at one point that Yoohyeon will betray her again and she did. Yoohyeon then becomes Queen and exiles everyone from the castle after Jiu’s funeral. The thing with Dreamcatcher is that they have a lot of symbolism in their mvs so it helps with the storyline. Symbolic things that are used in this mv are gold butterflies, swords, blue roses, and fire. The gold butterflies represent a rebirth (which is why Jiu opens her eyes whilst in the coffin). The swords represent power, protection, strength and courage. The fire represents resurrection and destruction (Jiu opening her eyes again and the throne room being in ruins as Jiu points a sword at Yoohyeon) and the blue roses symbolises a secret or unattainable love and sadness (Jiu is surrounded by them in the coffin and Yoohyeon is holding them). Or at least this is what I believe the storyline is.

I think you'd appreciate how versatile the range of vocals there is in DC. The one that you like a lot, SuA, is the Main Dancer. The part that you like a lot, "So now, I'm holding this pain" is sung by Handong, who is "just" a vocalist. While the main rapper Dami belted that 5:06 with ease like she's a vocalist. I think this song was only possible because of that versatility.

The rock element is Dreamcatcher’s forte and signature sound but do tune in to their b-sides, special OST and covers to enjoy a delightfully diverse discography. Deja Vu and Scream official MV conveniently have the group members name in the MV's subtitle. Siyeon once explained Deja Vu is a song about a promise that must be kept no matter what it takes. How I’d like to interpret the MV ; Yoohyeon believes Jiu attempted to usurp her when in reality it was Yoohyeon justification to slay and overthrown Jiu, then cast out their sisters. It’s two different worlds now. The fall from grace. Bridge burned. In the end, amongst the ruins, Yoohyeon reign alone.
Speaking of symbolism Yoohyeon is a queen who is corrupted by darkness. Her old family/friends confront her and so they are either jailed or banished (Handong&SuA). JiU confronts her but lets her friend go, twice, while Yoohyeon kills her. Others organize her funeral. Blue roses often represent eternal love in Asian culture. Turns out JiU is actually alive, but this whole dispute caused the destruction of the kingdom but she ends up getting the throne. That's what I got after watching the mv for like 10 times. The story's so damn cool
You know what's even cooler? That in fact all this can be interpreted in different ways) Your version is very plausible. But initially this is a collaboration with the game, which means the song and MV displays through their images of the characters of this game and their relationships, referring to the history of events in the game. Although, being a fan of Dreamcatcher, you can easily find common things with their previous works, as there are references and some common narrative line. And it's so amazing that I'm just thrilled)

i’m not usually a huge rock person either, i got into kpop because i love bubblegum pop but somehow my favorite group ended up being dreamcatcher...they just hit different
They have so many different genres in their discography. Their title tracks always have a rock influence but their albums also have soft beautiful ballads or pop songs or just...pretty much anything you could want.

Hi Sam, there is another very underrated group called A.C.E, and when I say very underrated, I mean VERY UNDERRATED compared to the music they put out. They came back with "Favorite Boys (Goblin)" 3 days ago and it's such a BOP. Please give them a chance as well, they are from a VERY small company, so many people don't look into them cause they don't care about groups from smaller companies. And that is such a shame cause when we look at a lot of them (like Dreamcatcher and Oneus and ONF and more), their music is just as amazing. And I would say that A.C.E is one of the most unique groups in kpop and incredibly talented, so they are truly worth checking out. Yeah also like most of the comments, I can straight up recommend Oneus as well.

Meaning behind the video ( I think you noticed in the first part too where Jiu the one who was all in black and Yoohyeon wearing a princess dress, right? And in the second part Yoohyeon was the one in black and Jiu in the dress) The music video is no joke either. Clearly presenting a tragic story, the video depicts the seven members as rulers of a kingdom, with a struggle for power breaking out between JiU and Yoohyeon. The scenes between the two facing off are particularly powerful, with JiU pointing the end of a rapier at Yoohyeon, in control of her fate. She makes the decision not to execute Yoohyeon, who in turn makes the decision to stab JiU in the back and kill her. Scenes of the six girls appearing and disappearing alongside Yoohyeon, show her eventually left alone and lonely, sat atop a throne left in ruins. It’s also interesting to note that some of the choreography shots showing all seven members are set in a brightly lit room, with all of girls dressed in white, something we don’t often see with this group. The medieval themes and darker lighting used during the depictions of JiU and Yoohyeon’s struggle add another layer to the song. “Deja Vu” has a lot of different creative elements that the group hasn’t used before, but it’s executed in an astounding way.
My favorite title track from them! Would also recommend You and I and Scream. Their b-sides are some of the best out there and cover a wide variety of genres and styles. They definitely have their sound, but are extremely flexible. You got a taste of that here if you hadn’t noticed - both of the rappers from Boca were singing. The member you pointed out, Sua, is actually also a rapper, though she doesn’t function in that role often anymore. She also choreographs all their covers and b-side performances, of which they have many.

this mv was for a game collab called king' raid and the plot is related to it here and it's independent of their other story lines. Did you check out "Scream"? It is the part 1 of "Boca" which is also a very good and unique song. And they also do some chill songs, too. But of course in a different way lol. Check out this awesome clip of "Red Sun" and find out how these girls do their own chill stuff. You will probably love it.

i really wish you would react to more dreamcatcher songs. their b-sides are all so beautiful and some are even completely different genres...these girls can do everything and especially songs like jazz bar, silent night or paradise (solo song by siyeon) are just beautiful
The girls do actually have some slow songs. Their vocals are always beautiful but they shine in a different way in the slower songs. One of them is called “Emotion” which they don’t exactly have an mv but a special clip where they sing it live. It’s very lovely, and I would highly recommend.

in my opinion its the perfect depiction of a german saying... "to walk over corpses" means without thought of any consequence trying to reach your goal even if it means burrowing everything in your way... and i think thats perfectly depicted in the video,.. even to the point where when she finaly sits on the throne at the end, none of her old friends are still with her and she is alone at the top

I've been commenting this on every Deja Vu reaction. The intro and outro are the same but reversed! Mind blown, right? They do it in the choreography too! This is my top songs from them.
This is about betrayal. A lot of hints in their mv including the Last Supper reference, blue roses, the different tone of each scenes (past and recent; deja vu), etc. Since this is a collab with a game called King's Raid, the story is reference of the game's story. Just think of Macbeth story.

They have so many different genres in their discography.
Their title tracks always have a rock influence but their albums also have soft beautiful ballads or pop songs or just...pretty much anything you could want.

Hi Sam, there is another very underrated group called A.C.E, and when I say very underrated, I mean VERY UNDERRATED compared to the music they put out. They came back with "Favorite Boys (Goblin)" 3 days ago and it's such a BOP. Please give them a chance as well, they are from a VERY small company, so many people don't look into them cause they don't care about groups from smaller companies. And that is such a shame cause when we look at a lot of them (like Dreamcatcher and Oneus and ONF and more), their music is just as amazing. And I would say that A.C.E is one of the most unique groups in kpop and incredibly talented, so they are truly worth checking out.

Meaning behind the video
( I think you noticed in the first part too where Jiu the one who was all in black and Yoohyeon wearing a princess dress, right? And in the second part Yoohyeon was the one in black and Jiu in the dress)
The music video is no joke either. Clearly presenting a tragic story, the video depicts the seven members as rulers of a kingdom, with a struggle for power breaking out between JiU and Yoohyeon. The scenes between the two facing off are particularly powerful, with JiU pointing the end of a rapier at Yoohyeon, in control of her fate. She makes the decision not to execute Yoohyeon, who in turn makes the decision to stab JiU in the back and kill her. Scenes of the six girls appearing and disappearing alongside Yoohyeon, show her eventually left alone and lonely, sat atop a throne left in ruins. It’s also interesting to note that some of the choreography shots showing all seven members are set in a brightly lit room, with all of girls dressed in white, something we don’t often see with this group. The medieval themes and darker lighting used during the depictions of JiU and Yoohyeon’s struggle add another layer to the song. “Deja Vu” has a lot of different creative elements that the group hasn’t used before, but it’s executed in an astounding way.

My favorite title track from them! Would also recommend You and I and Scream.
Their b-sides are some of the best out there and cover a wide variety of genres and styles. They definitely have their sound, but are extremely flexible. You got a taste of that here if you hadn’t noticed - both of the rappers from Boca were singing.
The member you pointed out, Sua, is actually also a rapper, though she doesn’t function in that role often anymore. She also choreographs all their covers and b-side performances, of which they have many.
Honestly it's their best MV by far when you compare aesthetics that shit is just amazing

The girls do actually have some slow songs. Their vocals are always beautiful but they shine in a different way in the slower songs. One of them is called “Emotion” which they don’t exactly have an mv but a special clip where they sing it live. It’s very lovely, and I would highly recommend.

Yeah, this song has become my favorite... the first time I listened to it I was very surprised and I don't know who Dreamcatcher is, all I know is that they sing great and the main vocalist is Siyeon.
