Those trucks @4:20, 8:30 you can get from army surplus as for $750. Praga V3S light utility/army truck was produced from 1953 to mid eighties, and till now those off-the-shelf oldtimers can compete current "specials".
i should bring my truck here, a 1999 GMC C5500 built it big and tough 5 tonne axles front and rear with 56 inch wheels and air bag suspenion front and rear
yeah like having Unimogs which can be used for shunting, kenworth does make good off road trucks i think as well, and yeah there is a market but its very small, a niche market, there should be a boutique or something too fill specialized needs, i know cities and municipalities would buy them up if there were a one stop shops for said vehicles. yeah rail is more efficient, and now Mearsk has supersized boats that only a few ports on earth can handle, and yes so many manufacturers now are joint...
true but even in engineering terms our vehicle are lagging, only recently due in large to joint ventures have our vehicles been catching up, sadly the volvos here in north america (trucks) have engines drivers dont like other that that we have freightliners sharing mercedes benz hardware but not as popular as classic trucks which i do love. and for off road like logging and severe road hauling and oilfield, and such it would be nice to have some military based vehicles for such use even oshkosh
Please don't embarrass us with that gawdawful spelling and grammar.... We already appear horrible enough, without sounding like you flunked out of the 3rd Grade! Jeez......
Thank you very much, sir. Maybe i will someday come to central europe and buy one. Those are poorly availlable in finland. Only local masi and gaz, wich are too big for me. and unimogs are too expensive.
so when those swivel apart from the bed, are they built to swivel like that or are they just flexing the crap out of those frames? cuz the frames look solid
@palcat6699 Budeš se divit, ale na obyčejnou naftu. On totiž každej diesel takle hulí když mu dáš pořádně nabumbat. ;-) Jinak video fakt super. :-)
Im inclined to think that if anyone brought something tracked/ treaded (like an M29 weasel), they would breeze right through every last section, and blow away any and all wheel-based vehicles.
Yellow Ural is really suffering from not having front wheels differential lock. In multiple videos I've seen him getting stuck in situations where diff-locked front wheels might have saved him.
@713junior1 yeah the shorter with less "overhang" is better because the front and rear of the truck doesn't catch on the floor or rocks when you go in or out of those muddy trenches :)
In the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s We in the U.S. were building roads, In Europe they were building vehicles that do not need roads. The only trucks that come close are from the 1960s a Ford F 1200 6x6 and a Chevy C65 6x6 made to sell to army, why the army did buy them . I will never understant.
seriously though even in small volumes im sure agricultural & industrial buyers would flock too such vehicles, which could be more unimog lie, as a multi use platform, or at least make some of their current offerings more rugged. i do believe America is behind in heavy duty vehicles in technology. on a side note i really wish they used the international ford ranger here in north america, and replace the current ranger offering something y similar to hondas ridgeline, and more civilized than f150
ventures using same old parts mixing and matching from corporate bins, and so many damn models, i think only making basic models instead of hyrids of hybrids would do us all a favor, like sedans or an suv instead of like 5 sedan / wagon/ coupe hybrids like wtf lol. rail roads should be used more, clog roads less and be more on time, and save more lives, sorry my reply was so long, good talking to you !
Your comment... really?? Have you ever thought about the fact, that power steering systems don't have unlimited power? Maybe the wheel was stuck and he needed to drive a little forward to actually steer?
enterBJ40 Before making a joke out of yourself, you should probably try and drive a offroad vehicle yourself. Check my channel out, i have proof for my truck driver's licence and i am actually driving off road trucks in the army. Can you prove it? No? Then stop discussing.
enterBJ40 Yes, on the road. We're talking of heavy offroading here. I've been in Milovice the last weekend and those guys have a damn hard job to control their vehicles. Power steering helps, but as i said, it does not have unlimited power...
the russian trucks are more badass then most of ours, sure but we have roads to get to the places we need. and we have trucks that will take us to places that dont have roads like the eastern block, so id say its a trade off.
man we are so far behind and even more so here in canada, i mean even mexico gets international variants of vehicles damn lol...hmm maybe i'll just move too mexico XD
I feel like havint this long of a wheelbase is stupid, wann have some real fun? Get a lifted jeep, g-wagen, land rover, etc. These things are so slow and heavy they get stuck anywhere. In an off roader it needs torque but also a nice amount of speed for some of the conditions were you just need to gun it, some of these trucks cant even do that.. They are cool, just stupid if not necessary imo.
Start out with a cheap deuce and build it up. Lockers, PTO winch, etc... After all, aren't all Americans rich? The aftermarket sure thinks so. In all fairness to the deuce, they're as cheap to build as any other 4X4. They just use more fuel.

around 11 minutes, i'm pretty sure that is a tank of some sort in the background. at least a personnel carrier
yep, this is probably a tank training range.

Fantastic.... I wish we has this in the USA.

that last unimog is what people think they are driving when they are driving a kawasaki mule 410
Thank you very much, sir. Maybe i will someday come to central europe and buy one. Those are poorly availlable in finland. Only local masi and gaz, wich are too big for me. and unimogs are too expensive.

I think they are built to swivel a bit to aid articulation
Tatra the BEST off road trucks!!
☆☆☆☆☆
The truck at 7:45 ??? Omg that's incredible, very good. Its a Tatra?

Just put Praga or Tatra + bazar (ment as secondhand) into searchbox. You can get some of those for the price of Chevy Spark ;))

Zoie3x8 that's not the point, though, is it? A bit more skill required to keep the truck moving.

you could do alot of this in an old 2.5 ton
seriously though even in small volumes im sure agricultural & industrial buyers would flock too such vehicles, which could be more unimog lie, as a multi use platform, or at least make some of their current offerings more rugged. i do believe America is behind in heavy duty vehicles in technology. on a side note i really wish they used the international ford ranger here in north america, and replace the current ranger offering something y similar to hondas ridgeline, and more civilized than f150

"he needed to drive a little forward to actually steer". Hydraulic steer doesn't work like that, dude

Really? Cuz all these sound like diesels to me.
Bravo za Praga-V3S i Tatra
Hopefully I never have to ship something over there.
the russian trucks are more badass then most of ours, sure but we have roads to get to the places we need. and we have trucks that will take us to places that dont have roads like the eastern block, so id say its a trade off.
Mmm russians why do they have semi trucks mudding and would having a shorter wheel span be better for such thing..
man we are so far behind and even more so here in canada, i mean even mexico gets international variants of vehicles damn lol...hmm maybe i'll just move too mexico XD
Badass.
For 12 years I drove 2 1/2 ton and 5 ton AM general trucks, they can not and will not ever be able to do that , they are too heavy and too weak!
Sweet!
