By 75 you had Dolemite and the Rocky Mountain Horror Picture Show. You had crazy punk rock acts going etc. Morrisons charges would have been almost a joke had he stuck around a few more years. Now if we take all the stories from the Doors then Morrison had one hell of a habit of getting arrested and what we have on paper a fraction of his overall arrests. Morrison managing to stay out of jail throughout the late 70s and 1980s is another story all together.

Shortly after that I started really listening to The Doors and now they are my favourite band. I also realised what a special and legendary person Jim was and I regret that I didn't realise it before when I stood near his grave. I plan on returning to Paris as soon as possible and pay proper tribute to the Lizard King.

one of the most misunderstood musicians of all time. while they made number 1's around the world from 1966 to 1970. Jim often talked about how his fans did'nt fully understand his lyrics. But one must remember jim was a man of high QI. He grew dissatisfied with music and after LA woman was going to pursue a career as a full time poet. His death which i do believe he died, cos pamela died 3-4 yrs after his passing, he had other women but his heart belonged to pamela, and i think jim could not have stood by and watched pam die, for those that believe jim faked his own death
Is it the audience's fault if they didn't understand a poem, a song, a book, a comics, a movie, a painting, a sculpture, or any form of art? Art is for art. If the artist wants to be understood, must explain what they did and why. Throwing in random words, scenes, motifs, etc then complaining about "I am a misunderstood artist" is just not fair.
