The Boldest Move of the Series (Year 4 Offseason) | MLB The Show 24 Franchise - Ep.38

  • Today we begin the MLB The Show 24 Franchise with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cards are far from being one of the weakest teams in baseball, but they do have one of the most uncertain future. This is an experienced team and one of the oldest in the MLB. Every starting pitcher is at least 32 years old. The best two position players have over 10 years experience. The Cardinals will have to rebuild this organization regardless of their success in the near future. I'm excited to work on restoring this franchise to a championship standard that they have not seen in the last decade.
    On my MrHurriicaneLP channel I make sports gaming lets play series. My series focus on building teams and players from sports like baseball and football. I play games such as Madden 24, NCAA Football 14, MLB The Show 24 and more.

    I love that trade, I know Steve Castilla was the first pick of the series and there's some attachment there, but Steve Padilla is clearly the more valuable player to the farm system and I love the trade for Geraldo Perdomo. One of the best moves you've ever made in any of these series, in my opinion, and this team truly does feel like it has what it takes for a run in the postseason.

    Only a few minutes in and I hate seeing a team with a really good catcher sign another good one. What I usually do personally is I sometimes move one of them to another position if they have a secondary slot lol.

    Cane, when you showed the unlikely WS MVP(Edmundo Sosa), i suggest upping his potential to A, he won the MVP, the game should reward the player, i cant believe EA has a better system for this than San Diego Studio.
    I know he is 30, so it wont really matter all that much, but it can be something that happens for every MVP/Cy Young(Unless they already have A potential).

    • @nfugitt89
      @nfugitt89 Месяц назад

      I dunno sometimes random guys have great streaks during short series and go back to being who they were. Cody Ross, for example

    • @davidmrc
      @davidmrc Месяц назад

      @@nfugitt89 That is true, but on The Show, without intervention, the big guys stay the same and the other players never catch up, development for CPU players tend to be very weak, giving them a boost might be unrealistic for some players, but doing nothing it's even worse. The lesser evil i suppose.

    i think you should take Victor Scott out of the starting 9. his speed and range is good, but Robert can cover CF just as good as anyone. Putting Gorman or Donovan in Left and then DHing Soler will give you better hitting up and down the lineup with more run production

    I think the trade was good. They had 3 mlb ready short stops, and you have pitching depth. That's what prispect depth is for. Only critique is i think 2 of the prospects should jave had B potential. 1 B and 2C potentail players seems a tad light for an A potential mid-high 80s overall starter.

    I'm all-for speeding up the first half of the season. We know who these guys are, and what they could do - only question is, will they? Not much point dragging that out. Perdomo could be fun, though you said you got him to get on-base - but then (unless I misread that screen) - you have him batting 8th, and not, like, 2nd(??). Fingers crossed for Kopech. Looking forward to it! Cheers

    I would like to see you have a bit more focus on some speed in the lineup. I believe a lot of runs were left on the field last season, due to the lack of team speed. Speed also refers to quickness or agility in the infield as the steppingstone to great defense. I would like to see you strengthen your bench by using the rule 5 draft. I have noticed a lot of teams have really helped their bench and bullpen by acquiring great rule 5 talent

    World Series MVP is glitched or at least calculated terribly, it will never be a pitcher and only ever a position player who hits for a high avg. As far as Perdomo, I feel it was really risky to get him given he hasn't necessarily put up proven counting numbers in AZ even if the WAR is good.
