@@CoachZahabiCoach, do you think part of this could be because he has rods in his neck limiting his ability to turn his head? Perhaps it slows the lateral acceleration of his head from a strike
Yes i have the same surgery, i was already dam near impossible to knock out but after neck surgeries my neck is permanently romero style hahaha. Its hard to explain but my shoulders are automatically disconnected like coach says, i have to do soooooooo much mobilization and therapy on the area and spine to stay loose though. Not to mentioned rebuild so many muscle recruitment patterns. Strong and stable back 4 life helped 2!!!
As a person who was in the nightclub business in the 90s and early 2000s, and has seen plenty of physical encounters, this is very vital information. I always made it a habit to keep my chin down and shoulders down when dealing with possibly violent people.!
You should film yourself sparring several times. Afterwards, when you watch yourself on video, you'll notice things about yourself that you never considered or thought you had solved :D Just some friendly advice.
The balance between relaxation and stiffness in a punch is one of the more complex aspects of martial arts, but I never thought about using it defensively. I've been spending on keeping my guard up when gassed out, but never realized the constant stiffness is why I have a harder time recovering when stepping out of my opponents space. Would love to see more Muay Thai content from you coach
@@CoachZahabi lol 6'4" I'm going to start telling people that lol. I'm 5'9" and I wear a medium. I think I'm skinny but you wear a medium and you don't look skinny. Maybe i think I just have a negative opinion of myself. Idk.
I have a long neck but I also have a Homer Simpson skull. I have yet to be knocked out in over 5 years of mma training. Hopefully it stays like that lol
Shame so many gyms want guys to be willing to show they will spar every session, enter any competition that comes up, but fail to give these volunteer amature combatants the tools they need to actually fight.
Another piece of evidence of never getting knocked out is Yoel Romero. Man has a permanent shrug
lol so true!
He did get knocked out once

@@farooqkeita700 good work coming back, that’s a serious surgery
Last night i got pressed by two guys. I started shrugging my shoulders and next thing i know i wake up in the hospital. Thanks Coach.
As a person whose never been in a fight before, this is mindblowing
"As a person whose never been in a fight before" ...YOU REALLY NEEDED THIS INFO! :)

I just sparred with stiff shoulders, never thought that was part of the problem why my reach was so bad, incredible how useful this video is!

I've never been knocked out because I just run away 😂 thanks again Firas. ❤
Strong and stable running is my best self defense video. 😂
I mean its underrated advice. Knowing how to avoid/get yourself out of trouble in the first place is the first and best line of defense.
OH MY GOD that "Ripstick" commercial is the funniest thing I've seen in a minute.
Its amazing how little details like this make the difference between amateurs, pros, and greats
Great content coach. Been implementing neck training too
Shrugging also tightens your traps, which stabilizes your neck...
Salam Coach, I was practicing this in my office chair and my colleague thought that I got electrocuted somehow 😅
Love this content n
And the philsophical content you produce

You must be Bobby Green
You should call IT:a man's man Guide top throw a Punch good sir
Coach, a great series would be body shot specializing (for muslims who can't punch the face, will probably benefit others as well)
Jazak Allahu khairun
Somebody tell Nate Diaz about the long neck thing
If you point both fingers to the sky as you do this you can practice your Bhangra dancing at the same time!
bro who the f is this, it's not like he's trained some goat fighter or something like that
Just remove that satanic moster logo and replace it by another sponsor.
