My POV: hold a small wedding for you and Vang. No need for extravagant reception. Whatever you can save to do a lavish wedding, just save it for your future plans, i.e., future children, expansion of farm, and maybe a memorable honeymoon. I am single so this is just my perspective from watching family hold big weddings and regret it after, and/or civil weddings and then they enjoy their precious time together and not broke😂. Weddings can be big or small. Our friends’ wedding was lavish with 250 or more people attending (they divorced within 2 years) while my husband and I had a small one with 15 people attending and we’ve been married 55 1/2 years . Choose your wedding according to what you can afford. Just do what feels right for you two!

You don't have to be rich to have a NICE memorable wedding. The people of your church can be a great help to you. Your minister can marry you and you could have your reception in the church with the ladies of the church to help serve cake and refreshments. You can use what monies you have to have a few days away for a honeymoon. My husband and I will begin our 60th year next month.
