  • Today I start loading up The General from the large pile of dirt that I had stockpiled in front of the Memorial Area and move it to the Dam Rd and spread it out with the Komatsu Dozer...

    Hi Scott,
    The General sounds good !!!
    I MISS the growl of the big Cummings every time I ran it especially with a heavy load like you were hauling... How many yards does the dump body hold now that you put the higher sides on ?
    I. just like you know all about having multiple jobs and things to do all the time and some things get pushed aside for a later day because of weather delays and the most important thing we call LIFE !
    Take my friend and say hello to Wendy ❤

      Thanks Tom!..It Holds about 15 Yards Heaped up. Always too much to do and too little time!

    Need to finish the incomplete damage pond before you started the the house. Which is more important. Will the house ever be completed? Looks like a pattern of uncompleted projects. You have all the necessary equipment & time why is the pond not done? How long have you wasted time on the pond?

      And hopefully I will never finish it because I have said before, once I finish it I'm going to throw it all back into the water and start all over again...from the otherside this time of course 😁

    Making great progress with the infill & heightening.
    Asda in the UK is more of a grocery store like Krogers than it's parent company..
    About the nearest thing to Walmart we have in the UK is Home Bargains but they're still nowhere near the scope & scale of the real thing.
    I'll be over in the US in a couple of weeks & a Walmart visit to stock up on socks, boxers & t shirts etc. is on the list as usual, plus a visit to a woodworking store for all the stuff I can't get in the UK, or is much cheaper in the US.

    Love your channel man I hate to tell you this but I do not think you're going to win against that creek behind that damn because that sand is going to wash every time the water comes up with a swift current it will wash it back out again Love the channel

    • @southernhomesteadtransformatio
      @southernhomesteadtransformatio  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks...I will win because it only failed because I left the corner 4 feet too low and the creek over-topped it...then a float broke loose and blocked the overflow...I built it 4 feet taller than any surrounding property so it won't be crested and the floats are long gone 😁

    What is the poole of water in the grass for ?

    • @southernhomesteadtransformatio

      It's a retention pond that keeps that area dry (was a dumping area for horse manure so doesn't drain or dry well)
