The OP-Z is a curious thing, it is subtle and until you see it in action you can't fathom the depth and coolness of it! I've been an owner for some time but I appreciated this in depth demo as I heard some bits I'd never experienced.
Wait, you’re from Canada? I was totally sure you were from Scandinavia, and I myself am from Sweden lol! Great content as always, man! 😊✌🏼I want a OP-Z so bad 🔥
After watching - too many - videos to decide between the 1 and the Z I'm glad I went for the Z. I come from the Circuit and I think I wouldn't like the tape recording workflow so much. Only thing I was missing with the Z was the sample recording but since then they added it to the Z.
Oh boy, here I am watching an in depth sound video on the OP-Z after I had just ordered the OP-1 and my bank account already has a vendetta against me. Hope he's ready for another wallop!
Yes indeed they do! :-) Enjoy the OP1- I have a bunch of other OP1 content as well incase you're interested. Here's a link/ Forgive the super long URL, lol: ruclips.net/video/HafZGlpl6XE/видео.html
@@LiamKillen Oh trust me, already binged =) Very good and useful info. I feel like I'll already know my way around the OP-1 without any sort of manual the second I get it
Hey man is it true the OP-Z bends? What about the buttons they hold up good with time? I've read comments complaining about the construction quality that's holding me up from getting one
had three in a row of buying and returning. all bent. and the last one started to get double triggers with 3 buttons. a shame but had to return it for good. the TE forums are full of this.
Appreciate this video, almost pulled the trigger on a cheap one til I watched this video, synth engine is really underwhelming. My pss-470 sounds better :(
I've noticed that if i'm playing the string synth on the op-1 live, it will produce some artifact noise, especially when running it through a sequencer. does that happen on the op-z as well?
I agree and disagree. Some of them, yes, for sure. But some of em sound great. In particular i’ve been blown away by the arps and some of the chord tones.
I guess if you have absolutely no room for anything bigger, one of these might be good. Otherwise I can't understand why anyone would want one of these. People complain about the Roland Boutique knobs being "for ants", I'll bet some of those same people have one of these.
I'm so relieved that I ordered an OP-Z yesterday. If I hadn't, this video would've totally made me order one today.
It’s just good to know what it sounds like beforehand, ya know?
I like the sound-quality of it, far superior than some big brands names gears
Oh yeah big time

Yeah there’s a lot of hidden stuff in there. Plenty of cool and fun presets to work with.
The drums and percussion sound surprisingly good!
OPZ drums are some of my favs
The arpeggios are soooo good.
I know right!?
Great reference! Thanks for taking the time to put it together.
It’s my pleasure
Thanks, man! This goes a long way to getting over the fence... Subscribed!!
Thank you! Glad to have helped

Thank you! 🙂 Yeah! From Canada!
I loved every second of this video.
Well ya know watcha gotta do
@@LiamKillen AHAHAHA yeah man... PLUG THE MPC1000 aahahaha
😏😏😏
Alright fine I’ll buy one already.
Yayyy! 😉
hey lumberjack ... fabulous ... keep it all coming ...
Thanks for watching! 🙂
The fastforwardest video on the channel
lol
would you make a tutorial of making polyrhythm with opz?
I’ll add it to the list! 🙂

The two are completely separate beasts! Sequencing abilities on the opz are next lvl though- really something else
Liam Killen as a side note I'm from Canada too...far east on the Magdalen Islands ;)
Oh nice! I’m from montreal 🙂
Oh boy, here I am watching an in depth sound video on the OP-Z after I had just ordered the OP-1 and my bank account already has a vendetta against me. Hope he's ready for another wallop!
Lol! At least now you know exactly what it sounds like.
Liam Killen very true! Thanks for this! The synth engines sound so good

@@itsmorphinetime I like hearing that :-)
Just got mine after watching your videos - it came bent. Is yours bent???
Bent?????? No mine is not bent ! Send it back my guy!
And good luck.
Personally, I don't like the stock sounds very much. In what format can one upload new sounds? Samples?
Yeah you can upload samples on the opz as well
The lead sounds are the ones that I don’t like the most.
It's a really specific sounding unit for sure.
@@LiamKillen I dig that you can load your own sounds. I hope they would make a field version of it.

It bends...? Not from what i’ve seen. I mean if you bent it it would bend lol. But i haven’t had any issues with mine it’s been a year.
Well shit

Hey Liam, does the arp track use its own sounds or do you use lead sounds in the arp track? I don't understand :/
The arp track is its own completely seperate category.
@@LiamKillen ok cool, thanks!
cheers
Yeah now im sure I will buy the op z
Glad to have turned you lol

It’s not for everyone! Thanks for watching
It’s true!
I bought the OP-Z first then I bought a used op1
It’s good to have both I think
Liam Killen OP-Z was my first TE gear after I got it I wanted more lol
Don’t blame ya haha
I've noticed that if i'm playing the string synth on the op-1 live, it will produce some artifact noise, especially when running it through a sequencer. does that happen on the op-z as well?
Opz has way less artifacts
First comment! I want that thing so bad. I will get one as soon as I can afford it.
Totally worth it! Let me know when you get it 😉
all op-z synth engines sound like a toy.. just concider to pair it with some external synth

They’re actually quite powerful but obvi very specific
I ordered an OP-Z cause u
Yesss!! I’m sure you’ll enjoy
DUDE I SWEAR PLEASE STOP PUTTING DELAY ON YOUR BASS OMG
