Staying at WINE HOTEL in MENDOZA, Argentina 🍇 | Wine Tasting at FINCA ADALGISA + BODEGA FURLOTTI

- In this video, we'll be sharing our stay at Finca Adalgisa, a boutique wine hotel located about 25 minutes outside of Mendoza! Finca Adalgisa is a fourth-generation property with vines that are over 100 years old. The finca was founded by two Italian families: the Morettis who came from Tuscany and the Furlottis who came from Parma. It was shortly after their arrival in Mendoza that they bought their first vineyard and began to produce wine, and they are still at it today.
One of the unique things about this wine hotel, is that Finca Adalgisa is situated right in the vineyard. As the city has grown and expanded, many of the original vineyards have been lost as people plant further away, however, the Malbec vines on this property are the ones that were planted by the first owner.
During our stay at this wine hotel we got to enjoy wine o'clock and sample their Malbec wine (only 5000 bottles are made per year!) We also got to partake in a wonderful asado with fellow guests from around the world, and try their delicious tapas which use olive oil from the hotel's very own olive grove.
We also took a little excursion to Finca Adalgisa’s sister winery: Bodega Furlotti. This is a working bodega so the tastings were straight from the tanks. We sampled 3 wines at various stages of the winemaking process ranging from young and fruity to mature and full-bodied. It was a fun experience and lucky for us, we’d be enjoying some of Bodega Furlotti’s wines back at the finca for dinner that evening.
We hope this video will give you an idea of what it's like to stay at a boutique wine hotel in Mendoza! For further reading, here's a blog post all about our stay at Finca Adalgisa: thatbackpacker....

Staying at WINE HOTEL in MENDOZA, Argentina 🍇 | Wine Tasting at FINCA ADALGISA + BODEGA FURLOTTI:
Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.
We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine.
From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut.
We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey's dad again.
To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.
Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are off-the-beaten-path, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.

Thank you Lisa! Indeed, what a great place to be. It feels like a dream that we were last traveling. Hope this is all over soon.
We just got 2 bottles from a winery in Mendoza. It is a Cabernet, reserve from Tasca winery. We haven't opened it yet. But am excited to try it.
That is awesome to hear Rose! I don't think we've tried any from Tasca before. You'll have to let us know how they are :) 🍷
@@samuelandaudrey will do need something good on the grill
For people so young, you have become professional film makers. If a person who is a script-writer ever approaches you for a full length film, you should direct it!
Thank you very much! Ah, we've tried our best to learn a few new things every year. When we first started we barely knew how to turn a camera on or do any editing. It has been a fun learning curve over the years.
Love love love that you guys are posting regular content! Also I need your Dad to teach me this art of telepathy to get another bottle of wine without asking.
Thank you Ayngelina! Just a few weeks ago we were kind of intimidated by our back-catalog but now we see it as a blessing in disguise. We'll hopefully also mix in some videos from home as well. Hope you're doing well and staying healthy and safe these days. Travel feels like a distant dream.
Me encantan sus vídeos gracias por mostrar nuestro hermoso país les saludamos de Corrientes
Muchas gracias Angeles!
Mendoza looks so beautiful with all the wineries...Audrey your dad is such a cool guy

Enjoying your videos on wineries & vineyards....one of the pleasures in life is watching meats just sitting there being slowly cooked over a fire with a glass of Malbec
Thank you John! I couldn't agree with you more! Ah, we just love Mendoza. We're dying to revisit again someday soon. Hope you're doing well these days.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos Thks for asking... doing well so far...
coming Tuesday only those providing essential services are allowed to work... the rest have to stay home
I had a wineyard while my grandpa was with us, it was such an amazing experience had your own wine ❤️
That is amazing LeAny! Croatia makes amazing wines. Very underrated in my opinion. We also noticed quite a few olive groves.
Our favourite wine is Malbec.......enjoy x
You have great taste! It is our favorite in Argentina by far.
Here's to the "holy grail" of melodious-terciopelado-Argentine Castillano(Spanish)+its vocab,"for example(:"palta"!Thanks Daniel, Samuel,Audrey for featuring Mendoza,her wine estates,your hotel,etc.
Thank you James!
I wonder when you were there. My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Adalgisa last November. Breakfast was great. The place was very charming.
That is so cool to hear Shahyad! We visited a few months before you. Breakfast was definitely memorable. Loved the wines too!
Nice video Sam & Audrey. In his quest for olive oil, did he tried: Olive oil Manolakis Super Extra Vierge Made from Koroneiki olives which comes from trees 500+ years old, From Crete Greece! It is a very soft tasting oil, No bitterness whatsoever! I’m sure you can find it somewhere.. I eat this almost every day!!!
Oh, we haven't yet! He would absolutely love that!
Never stayed in a wine hotel. Sounds interesting. Stayed in a single-malt scotch hotel once or twice. Can never remember a whole lot after check-in though. Thanks for sharing guys!
Hahaha...the single-malt scotch hotel sounds like a lot of fun!
I am a beer lover but I could be converted to a wine person if there was a wine hotel around 💕
Dad Audrey was very happy in this video ye have to convince him to start a channel 👍👏❤️
Keep up the great work love from 🇮🇪☘️💚😘
Thank you very much Bee! We're really enjoying making videos with him. Ah, but you're known for some of the best beer in the world. Hope you're doing well these days.
We have excellent beer too !!!!!
@@gabrielaacerbi1095 where are you from if you don't mind me asking 😘
Just seen a news report about the stresses and strains of self isolation. It reported that people are going crazy from being in lock down!
It was strange, actually, because I had just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster and all of us agreed that things are getting bad. I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as she always has to put a different spin on everything, and certainly not to the fridge as he is acting cold and distant. In the end the iron calmed me down. She said everything will be fine, which surprised me because she’s usually the first one to apply unnecessary pressure and get steamed up over nothing, even though I'm telling you guys, I have asked the bin to keep a lid on it. 😘
Keep safe Gary 🇬🇧😂😂
LOL, Gary that was hilarious! Thank you for sharing. Indeed, inanimate objects may become our new best friends. I think of that Tom Hanks movie with Wilson.
Beautiful place!
Thanks David and Barbara! We sure enjoyed staying there. Hope you two are well these days.
Mendoza was pretty cool.
Thanks Theodore! We just loved it.
wow👍👍👍
Thanks!
On my list for trips! Wish I was there now! Lol hope y’all are staying safe on your house arrest. 😜😋
Thanks Deven! I hear you. Worse places to be quarantined than Mendoza.

I have never been to Mendoza. Beautiful video.
Thank you! We'd highly recommend visiting.
@@samuelandaudrey WE MIGHT try it after this virus. Your Dad is so funny. He's just like my Dad was. Rompe Porton!
Muchas gracias Claudio!
I've been wanting to do a multi-day wine tour around Mendoza, looks fun. I couldn't help to see a shot of Cerro Aconcagua, did you go up into the Andes for any trekking (possibly in a forthcoming vlog)?
Thanks Rob! We didn't get a chance to go hiking but we did a couple day trips to some scenic areas just outside of Mendoza. Those are coming up soon.
Jajaja
Muchas gracias Andrea!
Cheers - wow now I’m hungry.
Thanks Laura!
God I have to get to the wine hotel and vin yard.
Great to hear Stephen! We highly recommend it.
Hello, merci thanks for so nice videos. Are you well and your family in this confinement moments at home? prions pour tous les peuples du monde de nous préserver de ce virus?
Thank you! Indeed, we are at home in Canada and we're all doing well. Feeling fortunate everyone is healthy. How are you doing these days?
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos I am fine staying at home for more than 2 week. The problem, is the social and economic crisis after the virus stop because of unemployment, people will have less money to buy things. Sorry I am worried against our government special in France on réagit très tardivement. Bonne soirée
Thinking about moving to Mendoza but…how bad is the heat from December-February ? Sticky humid ??? We hate sticky humid heat.
Bro, do visit Northeast,India once with David after this pandemic is over....
Would love to Paku! I actually have the series I filmed with David over a year ago coming out on our channel soon. We'll picking things up where we left off.
@@samuelandaudrey that would be awesome.. 👌
Olive oil??? My GUY in K-W brings in the best oil I've ever had, every year, straight from Greece!!! :-)
So cool to hear! Do you recall the brand name?
@@samuelandaudrey ralooliveoil.com
Hmm, THE variety to get, IMO, is the Ionian. This year, I see they have three kinds. That's new. I'd suggest asking Robert which one is most like previous years' oils. Or...just get one can of each! :-) I doubt you'll be disappointed, and they easily last a few years, even once opened. Tell him I (Michael D.) sent you.
How was the head the next day?
The taste of olive oil, similar to wine, depends on the type of olive. I personally prefer the "LECCINO ", an Italian olive .
Thanks Akiva! We'll be on the lookout for ones made with Leccino.
How much did that tapas cost? A fortune? A lot of expensive-looking food.
It is included with room and board.
@@samuelandaudrey Another amazing fact.
comen y toman todo 2 veces ?
Nosotros comimos muy bien.
What breed is Togo?
He's a King Shepherd.
A king Shepard . Ty
