Ed Donatell ruined a potentially magical run. I genuinely stand by the belief that Flores with that offense we AT MINIMUM make the championship game. Not gunna be crazy about it and say oh we win the SB. But we would have at LEAST made the championship game

People use the term "mortgaging the future" as if it's exclusively a bad thing. The Vikings mortgaged future assets to acquire players they like in a) the most important position in sports, and b) the most important position on the defense for a player that was expected to go a lot higher.
The Texans did it last year to a greater extent, and nobody seems to have a problem with those moves

I've thought for a while that Risner may be a headache "in the locker room". The sideline fought could just be emotions boiling over infront of the cameras, but it could also be someone who isn't a great teammate and went off infront of the cameras for one. There's enough talent there that going unsigned for consecutive offseasons could be a sign that teams all know that he may not be worth the trouble.

I would hire Risner say 2 year something low ball guaranteed. He would have to win starter but being able to play both G spots and be an additional back up center could really be valuable to have

The whole "leveraging the future" knock on the trade ups is so dumb. MN is literally one of the youngest teams at major positions, so its not like we will have to fill a lot of holes next year and if we do, our cap space for next year is just ridiculous.
