JEB i had lost your channel and i was trying to remember your channel name! Lo and behold there was a reddit thread where someone described you as a cool dad with a calming voice who gardens, makes silly jokes, and likes classical music. it was you Jeb, it's always been you.
Hello Jeb, a friend of mine recently introduced me to your channel and I have to say, this is absolutely awesome! Thank you for sharing your garden with us! Take care!
Great video Jeb! Its been a long while since I watched your videos (i think 3 years), I love how you still have the exact same video style as when I watched. I see most of your projects have evolved and still do the fun experiments. Will catchup on more videos soon, awesome stuff.
8:33 Jeb love the videos you should try a 9 inch net pot in one of your totes u need a way to lift the lid up 8 inches after roots have developed enough to reach the water I use a square I made from wood just sit it under the lid when plant is ready …..just an idea for ya man hope it helps
So if there is an issue with oxygenation and you have the sun how about adding a small solar panel and an low voltage aquarium pump to one of them to see if it improves things ? A length of tube with pin pricks along the length would make a reasonable manifold to "deliver" air across the base of a tote.
Jeb great videos, phenomenal music. I had a tomato plant that I was growing in dirt and it was about a third grown and I transplanted it in a dwc with air stone. I am using master blend nutes. I had a ph of 6.4 and a ec of 1.6. Needles to say is just died. What did I do wrong?
Jeb, is it definitely the heat which is killing your plants? I haven’t done Kratky outdoors for a number of years now. Have you thought about experimenting with sticking an air stone in your containers. A solar powered one would do. I know that’s not passive hydroponics but it might be worth an experiment to see if lack of oxygen rather than heat is the issue? To help keep the soil surrounding the container cooler, you could do with growing something in that soil. It looks like lifeless dirt.
jeb - could you put a small solar pump and an airstone (like you use in a fish tank) to put a constant source of oxygen into your tank? And just spray them with Neem oil
Earthworms being the source of the Vitality Tea , it is no wonder why it looked so healthy ..Earthworms are very vital for the heathiest plant growth ..

Hi Jeb I love your videos. I dont know which state you are in so maybe it is illegal, but why don't you try to grow some good marijuana? Love from Italy!
So much work .. when i just put my tomatoes plant in the ground and they simply give me .. tomatoes.... and without buying anything from the market....

I'm at the beginning of the video. The concept... Genius.
how did it go?
Well, It branched off in different segments but really, the scientific method was applied so you were able to learn and take us with you. Success. 🙂
Honestly I didn't keep track of all of it, it was mostly the different techniques and the way you spoke about it that made it more interesting to me.
Perfect timing Jeb! I’m in need of some Jeb time..
awesome!
Yay Jeb is back! ❤️😎
thanks lina!
The way you add the Masterblend cracks me up every time.

Thank you for always making content :)

I kept my water cool, and I survived the heat - so only makes sense for it to work with tomatoes as well.
yes but eventually nature wins
