- Spirit Mtn is open and with a rippin' new downhill trail!
As many of you already know, Spirit never opened last year but they're back baby and with some new trails!
Monkey Business is the new gem at the bike park. It's a top to bottom run with a great mix of everything you'd want in a DH run. Fun jumps, rippin berms, raw tech and of course the rock roll. What more can ya ask for? (maybe bigger jumps haha)
I'm really not sure who's involved with building this trail but huge props to all of them and to Spirit! Really stoked on the trail and that Spirit is back in action!
Ya'll should get up there and ride, it's rad. We stayed at the campground at the top which we've stayed at plenty of times before. It's a pretty nice campground and the right sites give you pretty good privacy. It's also a super easy pedal to go hit the trails.

@@robbienagel7869 right on dude. We were going to be heading up the to maintenance Ghostplane and some other stuff that week actually but I guess it’s not happening anymore. We are plenty busy but I was looking forward to going there again and getting those jumps dialed. Ghostplane is so sick. Love Tioga and Grand Rapids is a pretty cool town.

Looks majorly fun. Also really enjoyed all those third person shots that got spliced in to show the scale of the trail. Only thing you could have done to make it better was rip down it in a banana suit man other than that I think you (and J girl) fully nailed it with this vid. 🤙🏼Send it 🍌

You should try Stone Age. It's a little Southwest from spirit mountain.
Yeah I’ve seen stuff of it but I don’t think I’ve ever ridden that one. Definitely one that’s on the list

Question for you: I’ll be going to spirit a few times this year but I’m new to jumping and really want to improve. What’s the best place around the metro to learn and improve?
If you’re just looking to improve your jumping skills I’d say Cottage Grove bike park might be your best bet that’s near the metro. The Loppet skills park at Theo is decent. There’s a new and fun jumpline at Willow River State Park across the river in WI. If you really want to get your jump on though, Giants Ridge is the place with the new jumpline.

Ha! The secret to jumping is doing over and over for a long time. There’s plenty of pointers out there but it’s just something that comes with lots of practice and time
i have 1 question, the ticket incluid the rent of the bike or you have to bring your own?
Bring your own bike or rent one for an extra fee. It’s like $70 extra dollars to rent a bike

Thanks! Nope, just rode a bunch. A couple friends met me up there Saturday. Was a good time. Could’ve done without the fall but it’s all good
