- US PRO road racing national championships always feels like a bit of a homecoming, although this year had some added pressure. As we moved from Knoxville, TN to Charleston, WV for the first time. This year was also the Olympic Qualifier for the Time Trial which added all the pressure.
After training for the last year we laid it all on the line in a great weekend of fast racing! Enjoy watching something a bit different before we are back to your regularly schedule program!

I appreciate the comment that you can race a perfect race and still have people faster. It never feels that way in the moment!
NEVER!
Considering the firepower in that RR Peleton with the WorldTour support….. 5th is “F”-ing amazing! Same for the TT.
Be proud.
nothing left in the tank across the line is the only way to go - 1st or 101st result.
You for sure emulate that.
Whether your racing for first or racing for last, your still racing and there's a lot of folks out there too scared, or physically can't do it, enjoy the ride!
It was a pleasure to have you in Charleston racing and it was great to meet you. Thank you again for the visit to our local NICA kids and for the stickers. Willie was their favorite rider by far.
Thanks for having us! Cannot wait to come back!
This is beyond beyond the best footage of these 2 Nats races out there. So awesome. Great results Thx!
18:47 its amazing to see not just the physical strength you have, but the mental training and discipline you clearly put into this! Fantastic race, and great coverage as always Avery :)
Thanks! Means a lot!
Congrats on the 5th place. Awesome video, I like the part when you were riding with Willie and you passed that guy and he was looking dumbfounded that you and people can ride with a dog on the back. LOL. Bring the Noise!
Thank you!
Great job guys!🙏🏻🇺🇸
love this video. i’m a triathlete and i don’t have a great understanding of how it is being a regular cyclist. thanks for this, it’s great stuff.
Glad you made it here! Let us know if you ever have any questions!
Thanks so much Alexey and Avery. I think it’s one thing to put yourself out, set high goals, train for them and then go execute. However, it is something else, much more revealing, powerful and courageous to document the process and share it with “the interested world”. It’s a long way from PowerCycling, but in someways not. You continue to set a high bar for accessibility and excellence. Thanks again, I really appreciate you.
Thanks for the kind words, Bennet! Many ideals instilled from PowerCycling and Marc!
Well done Alexey. You can build a bike on my front lawn anytime and I won't even call the bomb squad.
haha I am going to hold you to that someday!
You guys make great videos! Keep it up.
Thanks, Tim!
What a banger video....the quality of the production and edit just sooooo polished....the story telling and narrative from the talking head so insightful and interesting. Special shout out to the on the floor of the road shot with the racers wizzing past. I always look forward to your videos.
Thanks, Maxim! Avery is really great at telling stories and its fun when we both enjoy creating it together!
Nice race, love this content. ❤
Thanks!
Solid work Avery those are places to be proud of. That’s a seriously strong field to be riding in.
Thanks!
So fun to watch, you guys are awesome story tellers. Fun to see your grandma too Alexey!
Deeda is necessary for success!
Avery, this is why I called you "internet-famous" at the Unbound finish area. It was nice to meet you there. You're a good dude.
More Doobie Brothers! Best score yet!
Great videos. I enjoy the inside view of these events. Pothole comment was classic. Always a fan.
Thank you!
Really good year so far! Its been fun watching you dish out some pain!
Thanks, Mike!
Big Alexey fan. The skills plus the vibe are really enjoyable
Thank you!

Great shit as always fellas!
Thanks Andy!
WOWSA! You guys really leave it all out there. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Great races, great video and edit! Thanks for sharing and taking us along for the ride.
Thanks for watching!
This is the 3rd vid I've watched & remembered to sign in & subscribe this time. I like the insight you give, your humble fun demeanor. The AWARENESS comment lol. I was surprised to encounter the same thing during my 4 months in San Diego specifically Normal Heights. I'm in full kit taking a break at times - NBH watch - watching with Awareness - I'm a Cyclist jeez😂
Thank you!!! Means the world! We are just having a blast making videos!
The road race was great fun to watch,
It was super fun this year!
Great video, thanks for sharing. Great results on the TT and RR. The road scene needs more love!
YES it does! I miss it sometimes! - Alexey
Great work, love the content, on my first set of Kendra tires now, let’s go
Woohoo! Let us know what you think!
Commenting for Willy
Great coverage and a great race. It's okay to be beaten by a guy from the Bonk Bros -- you both are helluva riders.
Great piece and nice editing. Good work!
Thanks!
Love the content! Keep hammering and good luck at Crusher
Thank you!
So cool! And SAm n Dave!!!

I did not...- Avery
Win!!

Thank you!
Babe wake up Alexey and Avery posted!
Love this! ha
I can't think of a better helmet than the Sweet Protection helmet to fair a dachshund in a TT
the unbound win was yours to take
❤❤❤
race the aero helmet at Iceman 2024
No fancy sports car this year!? Don't they know who you guys are?;)
Give it time ;)
(Minute 6:29) Dang! Gas prices are high over there
hahaha are you paying attention to the right things in life?
Jello jello, too much for warp stabilization, I guess.
Did you say that Avery is riding the tour divide??
I did!!!
Like
A 40 minute TT and then a few days later what looks like basically a 5 hour TT?? Ouch.
Do you find a time trial harder than a regular race because your competitors aren’t in view?
Not really, I really love the TT style effort. Honestly I could have told you 3 weeks before within 2 spots how I would have finished and mid race you know where everyone is based on looking at them past...so they are there even if they are invisible.
You just know if Alan Lim was there, any mention of cops scared him off immediately....Especially if he had a young (under 18...) woman around, as he's known to have...
Uh, Alexey is pretty good, isn't he?
Only occasionally - Alexey
USAcycling picks the worst city’s to having Nationals at!
Honestly, I wasn't sure what to think going in, but Charleston was pretty incredible! The town came alive!
Prob more aero. to have an integrated dog carrying pouch on your chest, rather than catching the wind on your back….😅
Willie doesn't like that as much :)
Comment for Willy. 🫡
Willie appreciates!
