You guys are such great people to have brought Lucy to the vet to find out what was wrong with her leg. And then to give her back to her family so graciously.
I don't know how often lost dogs get returned to their families. I know this family must be thrilled to get their little Jen back, and thrilled that you guys are the ones that found her. You took her home and cared so well for her. I commend you.
Oh my how adorable those baby goats are! I know y'all miss "Lucy" but what a great feeling to make this family's day to be able to get their beloved dog back with them.
Awesome she had owners thàt cared enough to look for her most aren't that fortunate, plus to have good folks like you willing to take her in ,.. God Bless you both and your family thanks for sharing...
Glad Jen/Lucy got back to her family. I had a feeling she was just lost. Usually dogs that are that friendly have been around people for awhile. Now you all need to go get a puppy. 👍🏻😀
Awe! thank you Kevin and Sarah, for keeping and taking care of Lucy! and you both have a warm heart. It has to be hard to get those little Nigerian Dwarf to there new home. I sure will miss them. Praise God for good people like you both.
Purrfect Day!! So glad Jin/Lucy was able to go home!! Goats aplenty!! Looking good! Nature takes it course within animal groups! You are such a Blessing!
Great job on your videos. I really like them because you keep them relatively short. I've been watching 2-3 videos day because you cover so many great topics. You both have earned my serious respect for your hard work keeping your homestead running so well.
As the owner of a Dog that escaped and was missing for 2 days (long story, brand new had been through some upheavals due to her owner's death) I'd like to Thank you. I didn't sleep at all the entire time he was gone, tormented the Police, RSPCA, EVERY Vet in the area, had it on the Radio, posters up, the works. I was beside myself with worry about him, but I got a phone call to say the people who found him decided to bring him back to me (truthfully they thought about keeping him) as it was obvious he was loved & missed. They brought him home with the new toy they'd bought him, and although I gave them some money to cover his food and to bought their daughter a Teddy Bear, there aren't words to express my gratitude that he was really well looked after and didn't have to shiver through cold nights frightened and alone, wasn't dumped at a rescue centre facing being put down. So Thank you for taking in that dog and caring for her, thank you.
I'm glad to hear "Lucy" got reunited with her family but it's a shame she couldn't stay with you. Thank you for the love and care you did give her for those few days. It was meant to be that you guys found her. 💖
Love the goat move! Those girls....kinda like 2 women in the same kitchen.....doesn't always go well at first! Glad Lucy found her way home. I imagine her family is just relieved and thrilled to have her back, bless you for taking her to the Vet and trying to help her. Vet's "ain't cheap" and I'm sure that was an expense you were not planning on....you're good people. :)
That was so cool watching the new owners picking up the new babies. Those kids said it all! Now you know Rocky is not a moody old man.. LOL.. Always one in the herd right? Mommy is not lonely anymore now. Have a great week folks!
They remind me of my grandparents and their farm in the Philippines. They raised carabaos, goats, tilapia, chickens, ducks and my favorite quail, lots of them.Thank You for making these videos.
Having lost dogs before, I can only imagine the family's relief getting their dog back! Lol, goats figuring out dominance is entertaining. Such spunk! We have a teeny little half Nigerian dwarf doeling that bosses the buck around. It was amusing to watch his reaction when they first met. He was flabbergasted.
Sad for you that Lucy isn't with you any more. Happy that her family found her, and I'm sure they're all happy to be together again. Overall, this is the best ending of that story.
It was actually nice to sit back and watch the view when you were driving. Glad you found the original owner, I was going to be disgusted as we have so much of that activity here (abandoning dogs). Really glad she is reunited and it is a little bitter sweet but as you said, it is the best thing for her.
Glad the family got their dog back. I found a dog, called the shelter and the owner had called them. I took it to their house. Later someone came to my door wanting the dog. I had put a sign out front of my house. They had found her and were going to keep her. I wasn't to happy with them for doing that. Not doing the Godly thing, do unto others as you would have them do to you.
Glad Lucy is home ❤ we have 6 dogs now and we only actually went and got the 2 oldest the rest found us lol glad i found your channel thank you for for sharing I have been really enjoying your garden and recipes.
We just moved from the St. Louis area about a year ago. I am surprised with all of the places we have lived in common at different times! Now we live in South Texas and I am enjoying your channel so much. I am trying to grow so many things from Baker Creek seeds like you in this climate/zone. It is different and so exciting to see the differences!
Wow! I'm glad the family found her! Your pets do become like family that's for sure. Looks like a great family ended up with the goats as well. Lord bless you both!
Awwww I’m sad Lucy won’t be in videos but I’m glad the family really cared about her. Was she happy when she seen them? I know you’re missing her. You guys have such beautiful hearts. Thanks for sharing the news and glad the little goats got to go to a good place. God Bless ~Lisa
I like to know more about your goats and I seen that you had a homemade goat milker I like to know more on that you guys are awesome even take in strays if I was a stray I would love to come there can I come LOL thanks for sharing your life stories
Hello Sarah! I don’t know much, and that’s why I’m here... to learn, “drying off goats “ I know they r milked for a time after the babies r gone, n my reading, at some point they r dried off, given a break before she is mated again. Would u happen to have a video on this information???? It’s wonderful to know that there r still people n this world that have a heart, y’all do, taking n a stray, and caring for her. There r two types of people n this world, those that have pets, and those that have a four legged/feathered family member, it’s apparent she is a part of their family. She is very fortunate (many aren’t) to have a family love and care enough to look for her, she was very fortunate to have y’all find her, people with big hearts, to take her n, care for her, care enough to adopt her into ur family. Thank u
Yes, he's been calling for them. We are hoping that one of these rounds of babies will produce another male that we can castrate so he can have a permanent companion. We've only had doelings so far. You guys have a great day and make sure to rest a bit!
Good evening I've had my time today watching you and a couple of the other homesteaders. I took your advice and went to a Goodwill store to look for some things for my kitchen and I found one of the dicers that you put in there and then you slap the top of it but it only has 1 are the little bitty cubes. If you have a box that came with yours would you look and see and let me know how I can order the larger slicer or Chopper. Thank you so much for your time have a wonderful week and we'll talk and we'll see you next week.
Thank u for sharing this! I’ll know not to worry when I get my goats and they do this. Poor Rocky is not to happy seeing the girls leave. I see u have electric fencing for Rocky, but not the girls, would u mind telling me why? Thank u
We had pygmy's when my girls were in 4H. In the future my husband and I had already decided on Nigerians. Giving up the babies will be the part I have the most trouble :((
i think cats are the goats of the domesticated world. we have 3 cats, the fight for the Title position never ends....it's a constant battle for domination
If you own a dog get it chipped. If you find a dog get it to a vet or someplace that can scan for a chip. If no chip put the word out everywhere. Nothing worse than trying to find a dog that someone has penned up, so easy to drive right by the house that is taking care of them.
If they are born in October, do you keep the babies about 8 weeks or so. I should go back and see when your babies were born. Tell us what it is like to have new babies in winter. We have a great barn that we are going to make stalls in to keep them warm. This is exciting. We would come to your place because we would love to see it.
With the 3 generations there picking up there new goats. My first choice of a name was Family Homestead/ Family Farm then as I was typing it could be 3 Generations Farm. I tried!
I will keep milking them until shortly before they have more babies and then I will dry them off. We breed them once a year, so to answer your question...about a year.
You need another dog stat. I can hear it in your voice. You guys sound super bummed that she's gone. I know that goats are herd animals and I've been told multiple time that if and when I get goats I def need more than one so that they do not suffer depression so my question is how do you keep Buck from getting depressed once the ladies are removed?
Doesn't he look good! He's a hard working man and I feed him right. Just goes to show ya, hard work and good food is what our bodies need. We've both lost 20+pounds since we've moved to this homestead. ~Sarah
that little girl just had the best day ever!!!!!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxo
(and Lucy/Loose-y is the BEST name for a stray dog!!!!!!!!!!!)
You guys are such great people to have brought Lucy to the vet to find out what was wrong with her leg. And then to give her back to her family so graciously.
I'll bet her original owners were glad that she was treated so well during her short visit with you. She was a very sweet dog.
Awe. Well I am so glad Lucy's family found her. I hate the thought if her being abandoned
🐇🐐🐓🐔🐰 hi guys !! another awesome update on the homestead !! 🐰🐔🐓🐐🐇
So glad Lucy found her family but feeling sad for you guys having to let her go. She seemed like a sweetheart.
Ah, sad you didn't get to keep the dog, but very happy it is reunited with it's family, I know how devastating it is to lose a dog!
It was nice that you tried with Jen/Lucy. Goats very entertaining.
I don't know how often lost dogs get returned to their families. I know this family must be thrilled to get their little Jen back, and thrilled that you guys are the ones that found her. You took her home and cared so well for her. I commend you.
I love little kids with the animals. That was so precious. I love goats.
She was a sweet dog
Oh my how adorable those baby goats are!
I know y'all miss "Lucy" but what a great feeling to make this family's day to be able to get their beloved dog back with them.

Funny standoff with Rocky!
Fabulous classic Ford F Series!
Awe! thank you Kevin and Sarah, for keeping and taking care of Lucy! and you both have a warm heart. It has to be hard to get those little Nigerian Dwarf to there new home. I sure will miss them. Praise God for good people like you both.
That's a happy ending about Lucy. Especially when the family and children missed her.
Glad to hear Lucy is back with her family. Watching the goats come back together was hilarious!!! Thanks for sharing!
Purrfect Day!! So glad Jin/Lucy was able to go home!! Goats aplenty!! Looking good! Nature takes it course within animal groups! You are such a Blessing!
Glad Lucy/Jen had happy ending even though she will be missed.
Great job on your videos. I really like them because you keep them relatively short. I've been watching 2-3 videos day because you cover so many great topics. You both have earned my serious respect for your hard work keeping your homestead running so well.
How neat. Thank you
Just started watching a few weeks ago! Love the videos!

Great to see your continued success with the homestead. It was too good to be true with Lucy, good to see her going back to her family.
I know Jen. I seen her missing on FB. That is awesome she made it home! And had such nice folks to stay with until she made it back.
Sad for you that Lucy isn't with you any more. Happy that her family found her, and I'm sure they're all happy to be together again. Overall, this is the best ending of that story.
Nice to know the family came for her. and to learn about her history.
Pecking order in goats! Cool!
It was actually nice to sit back and watch the view when you were driving.

The Brownie Farm 🤩
Farewell Lucy, I mean Jen. 💖🐕
Lucy (Jen) is lucky to be loved by two families.
I wish you would design a tee-shirt and/or mug with a "Keep on Homesteading" along the lines of the "Keep on Truckin'" of the 60's.
Blessing in sharing
Would love to purchase some of your goats, live in Highlandville.
You guys need a wether for Rocky when the girls are gone. :)
Wish I didn't live in the city Cheers Denise

Great video! I know your are not too close to St Louis, we live in a city connected to st Louis and we cant have any livestock!
Rocky in the background was very uneasy being by himself. But this is how it goes for a little while.
Yes, he's been calling for them. We are hoping that one of these rounds of babies will produce another male that we can castrate so he can have a permanent companion. We've only had doelings so far. You guys have a great day and make sure to rest a bit!

my name for the families farm vote is "Brown Eggs and Goat Legs Homestead"
be aware if her milk production starts dropping she may be letting her babies from last year nurse again we had that happen when time. Lol
With the 3 generations there picking up there new goats. My first choice of a name was Family Homestead/ Family Farm then as I was typing it could be 3 Generations Farm. I tried!
Your goats need a picnic table. Do you follow Jason at CogHill Farm. Tip is hilarious
Any suggestions on a name for that farm that bought your kids ?
How much for 2 goats? Great vid
Great video. How long are you able to milk goats after they give birth?
I will keep milking them until shortly before they have more babies and then I will dry them off. We breed them once a year, so to answer your question...about a year.
What kinda goats are they Kevin

How's the tick situation?
😊
How did they loose the dog? Just wondering
Browns Farm
Why doesn't the boy goat get to have a friend? Why is he left all alone?
How about”Two Goat Farm” as a name for their farm.
Adopted or sold?
Is Kevin losing weight? He's looking trim!
Doesn't he look good! He's a hard working man and I feed him right. Just goes to show ya, hard work and good food is what our bodies need. We've both lost 20+pounds since we've moved to this homestead. ~Sarah
Well keep up the good work you are both looking great
