Fitting Gas Strut Bonnet / Hood Lift Kit to a Triumph Spitfire 1500/GT6

How to fit a Triumph Spitfire (and GT6) Frame Mounted Bonnet Lift Kit using Gas (hydraulic) Struts, or at least the way I did it.
This install makes lifting the bonnet (hood) easier and safer reducing the amount of twist on the bonnet it normally gets.

Did you find after installing that, that the right side of the hood where it meets the door is no longer aligned? After I installed those, if I open the hood and close it, the first open of the door theres a 'pop' sound as the door jumps over the metal of the hood since its closer than it was without the strut?

No, I've had no problems with it so far.
