I always wondered if the Resident Evil villains such as Krauser or Saddler could go back to their human form assuming they defeated Leon. Its fair to say the answer is yes thanks to the detail of Krauser’s sleeves. Very cool
His strong in the original but he's just doesn't feel satisfying to play because of not being able to knife enemies just like how he does in-game aside from his plaga arm attack.
I love that they brought back that double roundhouse and the brutal knife combos. It's almost like you're playing as Dolph Lundgren's universal soldier

And just like in RE4 OG Krauser seems to be the most overpower The Mercenaries character, I mean, I can only guess that the other character will not have the sick knife skills, let alone the mutated arm.
I'm actually interested in what Ada will bring as far as CQC moves. I love how much flavor and detail they give to each character in the mercenaries mode.
if you stun harder enemies with headshots or a flash hunk can oneshot any enemy in mercenaries with his melee so idk man. infinite smg is also strong af

This is the first time I'm seeing mercenary mode already released here on RUclips. And seeing I can say that the mode is just like what was the original, it's electrifying, fun and addictive.
After the slog that was the re8 merc where you had to micro manage your pathing and pray to RNjesus for good skills and the absolute hell that is factory. Bless they manage to learn what fun is. Blasting zombies like crazy.
Ada and Wesker will be playable after separate way DLC release and with new stage name the dock I hope Capcom include his hypersonic speed running and use the same animation for the 5 remake
Wesker never had super speed until he injected himself with uroboros, he just had super strength and was a great martial artist, so it would be kinda weird for wesker to have super speed at this timeline

In RE4 classic, a suppressor made sense since Leon's pistol had a threaded barrel. His new Silver Ghost pistol has a compensator on it, so it would look goofy as hell with a suppressor. They would have to make a whole new model without the compensator.

I'm a little disappointed the bow isnt visible on his back when not equipped (I understand it'd block the view) but still, I'm happy with some cool details like his arm sleeves staying ripped after transformation
This just makes me want another Prototype game man. Ik RE4 was already out by then, but I played Prototype before RE and seeing Krauser’s design in the original just made want to play as what was essentially a B.O.W again.

@@drob4812 They do change the gameplay but it doesnt work correctly. For example i installed Wesker animations but they did no damage because hes suppose to have ranged Attacks which moders dont yet know how to replace the hitboxes
Looks fantastic! It seems like they give more time to pull off the combo streak, if this was RE5 mercenaries you would have probably lost that combo at the end of the video.
On one hand he lost the double kick although the new kick isn't bad either, and the bow seems more situational since it shoots explosive arrows, but then he's now a beast with the knife and his arm instead of just being a single lounge forward with his he can enter Mayhem Mode and it works like a Devil Trigger, yeah I think they've made him justice and even improved it.
I want a Jack Krauser game so badddd. His melee is insane and that’s what interests me more in a video game. Playing him in mercenaries and fighting with his badass knife mechanic blew my mind. Just do it Capcom
They would have to remake Darkside Chronicles, more specifically Operation Javier. From what we know now they got Resident Evil 9 on the way and long rumoured? Code Veronica remake (fandom talking about it a lot but dont remember if they officially confirmed they work on its remake). So if it even were to happen we would have to wait quite a lot of time.

I prefer the single arm sword/wing from the orginal. I feel like less is more. They dont need to add clutter and make his transformation more grotesque. Just the one arm where he swings it like a sword and it folds like a wing shield and combos it with his kicks would’ve been a lot cooler IMO. The other mutated arm looks hideous.

For those wondering why Krausers arm can return to normal after mutating... In resident evil lore, mutated humans do return back to normal form. Watch the cutscene in resident evil code Veronica after Steve mutated into a giant and was killed he returned back to human form
Saddler in one of cutscenes in original sprouted fckin tentacle which he then easily took back. Krauser if i remember well after being killed by Ada also lost his appendage and his back reformed to look somewhat normal. In RE 6 Simmons could revert back to normal form at somewhat controllable stage of a Virus (C Virus was damn fckin unstable being a fusion of T-Veronica and G). Manuela in Operation Javier could control her mutation after all these transplants just like Alexia did after her hibernation (at least as long as she was sane, cuz lets be real her 2nd and 3rd stage looked like she went batshit insane/more like Ant's mind). Sergei Vladimir in Umbrella Chronicles was fckin Tyrant prototype, his clones were a base for them also could revert back his mutation. There were a lot of cases of people being able to revert their mutation if there existed at least a bit of compatibility with viruses that caused them.
Great video! Although the Resident Evil 4 remake is out, I'm still playing a lot of the original on mobile. In fact, on my latest episode of my RE4 series, I just passed through the cabin with Louis and both paths. It was intense! Keep up the great work!
Perhaps too easy if you ask me. It’s feels like it’s hardly a challenge. Maybe they’ll add variations of the stages like the demo had mad chainsaw mode. Different levels of difficulty and longer waves of enemies etc? Or perhaps they’ll just add more stages over time, some more challenging.....because so far I only see 3 playable stages which tells me there’s definitely more to come.

I have the handcannon in re4 remake. I'm saying is there an unlock for s++ on all mercenary stages. In re4 original you needed to 5 star all missions to get the handcannon. In this game do you get anything for S++ on all maps or....
I feel like the Merchant should be a playable character in this mode, more as a gag character than anything else. Like how his default weapon is the infinite RPG (and he chuckles after every shot), maybe even throw in some unique weapons that are in other RE games but not in RE4.

Krausers main "drawback" is that his ranged game SUCKS but its barely a drawback when you are running towards them and they are running towards you

I prefer the single arm sword/wing from the orginal. I feel like less is more. They dont need to add clutter and make his transformation more grotesque. Just the one arm where he swings it like a sword and it folds like a wing shield and combos it with his kicks would’ve been a lot cooler IMO. The other mutated arm looks hideous.

In resident evil lore, mutated humans do return back to normal form. Watch the cutscene in resident evil code Veronica after Steve mutated into a giant and was killed he returned back to human form
Saddler in one of cutscenes in original sprouted fckin tentacle which he then easily took back. Krauser if i remember well after being killed by Ada also lost his appendage and his back reformed to look somewhat normal. In RE 6 Simmons could revert back to normal form at somewhat controllable stage of a Virus (C Virus was damn fckin unstable being a fusion of T-Veronica and G). Manuela in Operation Javier could control her mutation after all these transplants just like Alexia did after her hibernation (at least as long as she was sane, cuz lets be real her 2nd and 3rd stage looked like she went batshit insane/more like Ant's mind). Sergei Vladimir in Umbrella Chronicles was fckin Tyrant prototype, his clones were a base for them also could revert back his mutation. There were a lot of cases of people being able to revert their mutation if there existed at least a bit of compatibility with viruses that caused them.

Perhaps too easy if you ask me. It’s feels like it’s hardly a challenge. Maybe they’ll add variations of the stages like the demo had mad chainsaw mode. Different levels of difficulty and longer waves of enemies etc? Or perhaps they’ll just add more stages over time, some more challenging.....because so far I only see 3 playable stages which tells me there’s definitely more to come.
cool detail, when krauser uses his mutated arms and come back to normal we can see that his shirt is teared from the mutation, capcom doing this little deatails shows how much they care for this game even tho a few people will actually notice it

@Dog de Headset no for the handcannon u have to complete professional new game completely with out bonus weapons,you can take as much time and save as many times as u want if im not mistaken from what I've read

I have the handcannon in re4 remake. I'm saying is there an unlock for s++ on all mercenary stages. In re4 original you needed to 5 star all missions to get the handcannon. In this game do you get anything for S++ on all maps or....

I feel like the Merchant should be a playable character in this mode, more as a gag character than anything else. Like how his default weapon is the infinite RPG (and he chuckles after every shot), maybe even throw in some unique weapons that are in other RE games but not in RE4.
