- This is me performing "Desolate Spheres" with my ex-band Obscura live at the Up From The Ground open air in August 2006.

Damn, Steffan was still rocking the RAN way before cosmogenesis!!! Awsome live performance, but they didnt get technical until god muenzer, and hannes joined.
The version of this song in the new album cosmogenesis is amazing too, this band has grown more progressive and technically and to become very compact with the tremendous musicians who have entered.
Cosmogenesis is a great album. I am obsessed with it now.

I totaly agree with you, dont understands why people are giving you thumbs down. The cosmogenesis version sounds to mechanic, this has a natural flow to it. Not as fast but more brutal.
i love this version.... not so complex.. u can hear most of the part sounds like death song :)

the singer is using a Ran, he uses it on Cosmogenesis also. The new version of this song on Cosmogenesis is definately better than this one. These ex members don't seem as talented as the current ones.

The new version isnt as good as this one but its ok.
It's not Jeroen, this is before he joined. I'm not sure who is on bass, he's good but doesn't really fit compared to Jeroen.
Steffen is one of the best rythm players i ever heard, but that solo in this vid makes me want to poke my eyes out, you can tell he has no idea how to sweep pick lol
