I find this frustrating with Cex and the likes of cash converters leaving discs in the cases as a few times now I've took cases to the counter and they've not had the discs behind the counter and they've been pinched out the cases.. they say it's more cost effective weighing up the amount that gets stolen compared to the time they spend searching discs behind the counter 🙈

It's such a shame how floor space is shrinking in favor of T-shirts, plushes and whatever else is the current thing as I love browsing the shelves but that said I honestly don't think theres ever been a better time to collect horror films. The boutiques are putting out some amazing stuff on 4K and bluray, theres always plenty of good secondhand titles in my local cex shops and people are virtually giving DVD's away. For example last week I bought 80 DVD's, about 60 odd of which were horror for 10p each in a local charity shop, roughly a 50/50 mix of classic 80s/90s titles and stuff from the last 4/5 years and other than 2 which had damaged boxes they were all in amazing condition. I was chatting to the lady behind the counter and she said that they get bin bags full of DVD's donated almost on a weekly basis and they just don't have space to store them in the back so they're doing them 10 for a quid, just to get rid of them. It's crazy when you think that a new DVD would've been £10 or more, talk about deprecation. Funnily enough I picked up the same Halloween III release yesterday from a differentt chariry shop for a pound.
True, it’s a time to grab them at next to nothing. Car boots is where it’s at!
@@splatteredplasticdefinitely, I think grab them while we can, it won’t last forever. I’m sure over the next few years we’ll start seeing less and less of the good stuff in charity shops, at carboot sales and no doubt in cex too. Don’t get me wrong picking things up online is really convenient but personally I love getting out and about in the real world and just picking up whatever titles I stumble across that take my fancy.

Buying physical Media is more important now than ever before. Especially since a lot of horror Blu-ray are going out of print. Stock up your physical Media collection because streaming is never going to have everything you want to watch. Plus I'm a big fan of horror Blu-ray with tons of special features like making of docs and behind the scenes stuff. You won't get that on streaming.

I think personally most distributors (Boutique) are going it alone now and cutting all ties with bricks and mortar stores. I guess saving themselves money which i guess would only be Shillings and pence but a saving none the less.
Yeah, money wise it a saving that needs must. Just a shame though
