- Mk1 EMU's share the Brighton services with the new class 319's.
The Reading - Gatwick Airport services are worked by the new 165 and 166 diesel units.
Loco's from classes 37, 47, 60 and 73 are seen in action on various workings.
I was 4 when this video was taken but fondly remember standing on Redhill platform frequently with my dad as he'd often take me for a day out 'on the cheap' as he would say to either Gatwick airport or Reading which cost him only a train ticket and I think I went free. Fond memories of the old slammers and diesels that used to come through with the occasional Gatwick express unit. Thanks for the memories uploading this.
And it’s only the 165/66 that still go through there every day how 27 years has changed things
1:27 LOL
Brilliant, a month after I started as a guard at Redhill, and still their now
