I am 23 just bought a starlight home and it was great for my budget and a great opportunity for me and my new family, it’s to each its own, you get great warranty for not only just the house but your ac and etc plus they give you amenities like stove fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer not a lot of developers supply those things at the price point starlight is giving tbh and I have looked at a lot of them !
This is the kind of house you buy and you make improvements on the home and make it your own as time goes by (change the flooring, lighting, gut the bathrooms, etc). They are literally just selling you the bones. If you see it as an investment opportunity you can take one of these houses and make nice upgrades to them and then rent it our sell it for some equity.
I live in a Starlight home and looks wise the house is beautiful and a good size but the quality is very poor, the walls are paper thin the paint comes off very easily and the carpet is very cheap, when i close the garage door the wall literally wobbles. but other than that the house it beautiful.
For me, my top builders are Highland, Pacesetter, Perry, trophy, Meritage, first Texas, Bloomfield, and a few others. Disorder depends on location and budget.
I live in NC. Starlight built townhomes in our neighborhood across the street from traditional single family homes that are 20 years old now. 3 bedroom townhomes. Around 300k. Allow investment realtors to buy and turn townhomes into rentals in a traditional neighborhood. Townhomes went up quick. Siding had to be redone 4 times before listing. Purchase does not include blinds, or motors for your garage door. Nor cabinet hardware. Only enough parking for 1 car per unit despite being 3 bedrooms, and no overflow lot for vehicles like you would expect. So now we have rental property with not enough parking meaning cars being parked infront of houses who have never had street parking because everyone had adequate driveways. Makes the people who already lived here feel like they all of a sudden share a front yard with an apartment complex.
DO NOT PURCHASE from Starlight Homes. The quality of the homes ARE THE WORST. paper thin walls where you can hear every single sound across the house regardless of where you are. Squeaky floors that the builder claims is normal. I am 2 years into their new build and I have been dealing with repairs since day 1. I regret purchasing from Starlight Homes. Please do not make the same mistake.
My house is built by starlight don’t buy my garage has broken 4 times the first time it broke the whole garage fell off the track and the siding is coming off the home and the house isn’t even 2 years old and other people in the neighborhood had leaking problems and a lot of the home don’t have shingles because they just fall off at random my house is in faze 1 of the bridle wood farms subdivision and the second faze home we’re put up in less that 2 months I found this video by seeing if other people have the same issue

I'm in Atlanta but this was great and still helpful. Thanks a bunch.
How does the “monthly pricing” work, a $300,000 house isn’t $1200 a month so is that a lie ?
How would you compare the quality of Starlight to Lennar?
Honestly like comparing a colonoscopy to a root canal 😉. If I had to pick one I think my choice would be starlight

Hello Zac, what other builder would you consider?

What brand carpet is used by starlight homes?
This is good information. Thank you.

What if you have your own land can it build it for you on the land
Starlight is not a builder that does that, there are others out there that will. Coventry is one of the big builders that come to mind for tha.
