- How Many Attacks Does it Take to Beat Mega Man 11? Mega Man loves to jump and shoot, but what happens if we try a pacifist run? While it might be difficult, we’re going to try and beat the game without attacking! For today’s “Is it Possible” challenge, we’re seeing how many attacks it takes to beat Mega Man 11. So, let’s switch to pacifist mode and use nonviolence, in this episode of Skip the Tutorial’s Play by the Rules!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there an in-game challenge mode where you try to take the least amount of shots possible? Looking at the top performances of each stage would probably get the answer pretty fast.
There is; however, it looks like the classifications between our two runs for what constitutes a shot might be different from my limited experience. Definitely some interesting stuff there though, and I'll continue to research it.
I know that Torch Man's stage (not the boss) can be beaten with only one shot; using a powered-up Acid Barrier to take down the miniboss.

The reason it takes more hits from the acid barrier to take down Impact Man is because you get an acid projectile if you hit fire while the shield is up, and those shots allow you to get some good damage off. In other words, higher dps but lower damage per hit

That run is a lot less interesting since it basically makes the game have normal turn based combat
Ive onpy played bowsers inside story and ill confirm its impossible. You need to counter pretty early on to beat the tutorials.

Hey, this was a really neat attempt to do the whole game. Though it seems like you completely missed the "Buster Breakdown" challenge mode, which not including bosses gives the players every weapon to try to do the stages with as few attacks as possible. A thing I noticed was that you didn't use Acid Man's weapon on a couple of midbosses where if you use Power Gear you're able to kill them with just the barrier in one go.
If you wanted to do an update I think it'd be a good thing to look into, there's a lot to try to decipher on that front.
Actually it gives you all the weapons you've unlocked in the main game, like all other challenge modes other than playground mode
Been a while since I was early around here. Love playing the Megaman games but for some reason I can't bring myself to finish any of them. Also, I wasn't expecting the "minimalist" challenges to branch into Megaman, so this is a nice surprise!

Depending on your chosen path, you get either Marth & PAC-MAN, Sheik & Yoshi or Villager & Lucario, after that Fox, Simon, Pit, Samus, Zelda, Young Link, Ganondorf, Meta Knight, Ike, Greninja, Sonic, Cloud, Roy, Dark Samus, Palutena & Bayonetta are all required. If you then include the few you already mentioned makes that a minimum of 21, 22 if you count Piranha Plant which unlocks automatically after 10 other unlocks.

Wow that was brutal! I especially like how you used two torch shots and then a chain blast on Blockman. But do you think getting Acid Barrier earlier would've helped in Blockman's stage? I saw a segment that could've taken only one shot (activating the barrier) instead of two for two separate uh, blockades. Anyway, I love your stuff, keep it up!
Man you're just pumping out these videos! I don't know if I could have the energy to even do half of these challenges once. Although a challenge I've been thinking about recently is one involving illusion of gaia (An obscure SNES game.) see in the dungeons when you clear out all the enemies in a room you get a boost to your health/defense/attack, my challenge for you is what is the minimal amount you need to beat the game?

I've played hundreds of hours of spelunky, all you would need is multiplayer. It would just be very, very difficult.
I have a idea but I don't know if it's been done before but , How long can it take you to beat pokemon red or blue using only your starter ?
You can catch other pokemon for hm purposes but they have to be fainted.
I've done that with a few of my pokemon games up to the last gym, and it tends to be rather doable, but not done it with RBY. Maybe the challenge could be to finish it with the starter and with it at the lowest level possible (to take away the exp grinding).
Luxurio Music I've done it with a few games but I mainly want it to be a speed run with limited grinding and very few items being used.
I might be mistaken but im pretty sure a comon speed run strat was just use blastoise so watch a normal sppedrun
@@LuxurioMusic I'm sure charmander could do it with fire spin as that move is broken in gen 1, the opposing pokemon cant switch out nor can they attack if under the effect of fire spin.

I can confirm 2 shots on blast man. Took me a while, but yeah. Super possible. Easiest if you stand 1/3 from the left, charged. Jump when he lands and release halfway into the air.

Has anyone noticed that the boss weaknesses actually make sense? Like Rubber beats electric, Bomb beats rocks, Fire beats bombs, Impact beats bounce (sharp object pops rubber), Tundra beats fire etc. I feel like after Mega Man 3 the boss weaknesses stopped making sense but I’m glad Mega Man 11 changed that!

with proper speed gear use and the gear upgrades, the wily platforming is pretty easy even without beat, hopefully you could try it that way.

Actually if you're fast enough with the combination of sliding and the Speed Gear powerup item (the one that doesn't slow you down) you can make it through those sections without having to deal with the walls.
Try Super Mario Galaxy with minimal jumps, it's fun but also really hard
jumps include normal jumps, double jumps, triple jumps, sideflips, long jumps, backflips, ect.
but NOT things like jumping out of water or wall jumping
Tundra Man takes 2 shots, I think you may have hit him while he was invincible or you didn’t use a fully charged shot
I read the title and outrightly said that it was impossible. Speaking honestly, it truly is, but thinking about how far can we reach without actually fighting was interesting.
I just realised. how do heat seeking missiles work on a cyborg? and you could say system heat but their are several other robots on screen
It's likely not heat seeking, but rather based on authorized energy signatures and a number of sensors.
I remember one time when I was fighting the red head guy in that shield on the first time he opened I spammed the drill attack from the drill guy as fast as possible and I managed to wipe him out quickly with a couple shots less on only the first time he opened
I word this in the searcher: "skip challenge will with toro locosipppppopppoooooopopolalalalkal".
I got that in the translator since I don't speak English and I decided to look it up to find out what it was and this video came out

You could save some shots from going in weakness order due to it requiring less boss shots

Driller’s drills do count as mining - Driller’s main mechanic is completely out of the question

You can eliminate the 2 shredder wall shots in block man’s stage by activating speed gear then mashing the slide button to skip it all.
u can beat tundra man in one shot. use (power gear)scramble thunder right next to him, then use speed gear so the second shot can loop around and hit him before he becomes invincible

95* Let me explain why. Blast Man. You said it could be possible to defeat him in 2 shots, but you beat him in 3. You counted that as 19. It should be 18 that was NEEDED so far. Since it's possible to do it in 2 shots, you should adjust it that way. Since you fight Blast Man twice, that's -2.

Funny thing that took me FOREVER to find out. Pressing down and attack when an explosive from chain blast is out explodes them immediately. I am ashamed to know about this recently

Hint: do electroman first. The damage and health will do you good and the patterns are easy enough. :D also., get all the bolts in the stages, get autocharge and less knockback and finally speed gear upgrade. . Trust me. :D
The Mauvern boss could possibly be taken down with less shots if you use Impact man’s weapon and the power gear

(I've tried and the best strategy is to start with block man then go acid, impact, bounce, fuse, tundra, torch, then blast) Block Man's stage is easier than the other stages and the previous stages are each of the bosses weakness... Blast Man loops back to being Block Man's weakness) Good luck... Nado Out!
You can do blockman with2 by using a fully charge buster shot without power gear than use big bomb

What about Pokémon, the one of your preference, without grinding a single random battle (just trainers and gym battles)?

You can farm the start of Block Man's stage without shooting and get a 100 bolt item each time. That's how I handled MM11.
