If you do this challenge again, you could have a word blacklist, so any words that cause you to reset are put there and can no longer be used. It could be interesting to see if chat strategizes around that.
Though if you want to make it extra spicy, you could put a price on the blacklist words to remove them from the blacklist and available to use again.
I like this, and maybe like super common words necessary to use correct grammar (pronouns, conjunctions, etc) could be more expensive than random nouns/verbs/adjectives? or set like a refractory period for them so it's not over used

As someone who just worked as a scare actor in a haunted house this fall, we *absolutely* target people who look extra scared or jumpy. It's fun for us to get big reactions, and we don't always have enough time/energy to scare everyone equally, so we tend to prioritize scaring jumpy-looking people over stoic people. So, if you don't want to be scared as much in a haunted house, playing it cool and acting unfazed is one of the best ways to minimize the amount of jumpscares you get.

@Eleanor Bartle Okay, I think I should clarify. We don't (or at least I don't) go after anybody who is visibly distraught, unhappy, crying, or traumatized. The point of a haunted house is to scare people in a fun and safe way, not to scar people for life. Often, the jumpy, squealy people will be part of a big group of friends who are having fun and enjoying the scariness of the haunt together, and those are the people it's most fun for us to scare.
By saying "if you don't want to be scared, don't act scared", I wasn't trying to victim-blame, I was trying to offer a way for those who might not find it as fun to *communicate* that to the scare actors. Again, we're not looking for "victims" to traumatize, we're entertainers looking to bring the guests a scary, but good, time. Of course, we're also trying to have fun ourselves by going for big reactions, but never if that means tormenting someone who obviously looks miserable.
This feels like the opposite.
Since the point of a haunted house is to get scared, by not even trying to scare the stoic people just makes it seem like you have a shit haunted house because they'll come out of it feeling like nothing was scary and the actors didn't even try where as the people who are getting the scary treatment already would have naturally got the scares they came for just from being themselves

If he does this again, he should use a voice recognition program like DougDoug. Would be a lot more interesting
issue with that is that it recognizes subsets of words, like "smant" in "dismantle" which for manually curated words is a lot of fun. but for words chat chooses, any one letter word bans that letter. if "a" is banned, you can't say any word with the letter a in it.

Super fun video. It could be cool to use a voice recognition program in order to catch when you say the word. it also allows for more chat interaction. The program could interpret "smart ego" as "mario" for example, so chat can try to trick you

If you wanted to do this again a nice variation would be to add an additional word for each kingdom cleared so you have more words to avoid but no random changes
i think a checkpoint for each kingdom or 2 kingdoms would make it finishable

In my opinion you should only reset when you say the word AFTER you realize that it has changed. Or there should be a text-to-speech saying the word so that you know that it has changed.

The second one is debatable, but answering the question "what is 1+1" with "two" definitely doesn't count as saying "to", because there's no doubt about which word you said.
